Great place to hang out in town to get a decent bite and a cup of coffee. It serves as an impromptu office for kids of meetings.

Hometown Coffee and Juice in Glencoe is a cozy spot that’s perfect for anyone who loves tasty, healthy food like salads and avocado toast, and their coffee is just amazing—it’s mild and not burnt, making it one of the best around! It’s right by the train station, making it easy to get to if you’re walking or taking the train because finding a parking spot can be really tough. Also, it’s a very popular place, so it gets super busy. If you’re planning to meet someone here, try to come at least fifteen minutes early so you can find a place to sit. Despite the crowd, the delicious coffee and great atmosphere make it all worth it. Just remember to give yourself enough time for parking and grabbing a good spot!

I visited with a friend while in the area recently, everyone was extremely kind and courteous. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Very popular local coffee place in Glencoe. Lou has now opened other locations in the neighboring suburbs.

This spot reminded me of Tatte Bakery in Massachusetts with its fast service and sensationally good food!! Originally my sis and I were just looking for a cuppa coffee but saw the pics of the food and just had to try some. I got a pumpkin spice latte to which was mega tasty and my sis tried a hazelnut cappuccino, nice and hot. Their baked goods are abundant - the display case had me feeling some type of way lol the menu is huge! I changed my mind a few times and settled with the bacon, egg cheesy bagel melt. We don't have many bagel spots in the south so to enjoy a well made bagel was a treat for me. The side of chips were good, just the right amount of salt and oiliness. I liked how they added an apple slice too, definitely would prefer more apples less chips next time. Seating can get packed but there's outdoor seating as well with some spots having heat lamps. Learned there's a filtered refill water station so was happy to see that accessible self-serve option. So glad I could try out this spot, an absolute delight and very fast service.

This is the crowdest place on a Saturday morning. People cough on top you so you're bound to get sick. When I first walked in this teenage stared at me. I assumed that she was working there but she wasn't. I ordered my drink and it tasted like coffee. It was supposed to be decaf iced mocha with almond milk but it didn't taste like that. It tasted like coffee. The bagel with cream cheese and lox was so good! That was the best part of my breakfast. The owner is so nice and friendly.

Food and beverages fine but the best for me is sitting outside when weather is nice.

I must say this coffee place has the best scones The cinnamon scones are awesome My daughter loved her latte I had brewed coffee which was good They were very busy but friendly and helpful explaining the choices of food if asked They have indoor and outdoor seating which I chose because we won't have that many more awesome days I went to their other location also Both are nice They are located in high end areas it is just a matter of which area you chose They both have ample street parking in the area You do not pay for parking but watch the signs Read them I mean Enjoy

We ordered a few different coffees, blueberry cake slice and an orange cranberry scone. The coffees we each tried were fine but the pastries were not that good. The blueberry cake slice was the better of the two but it was cold and a little bit dry. The flavor was only so-so. Passable but certainly nothing special. The orange cranberry scone was particularly bad. It was very dry and hard. Even if it was fresh, the consistency is more like bread than it is a scone. It was definitely low quality though, I'm not sure if it was old or had been sitting out too long but it was not good. Both desserts were also quite cold like they has just been refrigerated moments ago so maybe that led to the dryness of both desserts. It was a Friday late afternoon and the place was pretty crowded, you had to look around to find a seat. The interiors cute, service was only OK. Not sure if I would go back but if I do I would definitely not try these items. Maybe the cookies are better?
