I was really rooting for Poppy's. As a long time resident, I've always bemoaned the plethora of dry cleaners and the lack of places to eat.I finally gave their pepperoni and honey pizza a try. Simply put, it was--by far--the most expensive pizza I have ever ordered, even more than pizza purchased in high real estate markets like New York or London. With tax, this 14 inch pizza was $33. (Not including tip.)So the question is--was it worth it given the nearby competition? Within 2 miles their competition is (the iconic) Barnabys of Northbrook as well as Grateful Bites in Winnetka and Minos of Winnetka. Let's even throw Napolita in Wilmette. The answer? In a 4 way competition Poppy's would be a distant, distant fourth. The pizza is totally passable. But it falls desperately short in terms of its price point and especially in light that its less expensive competitors put forth a vastly, vastly superior product. That said. Management seems nice. If you have kids under the age of 10 it's a good place to go. And I certainly home they succeed. They seem like nice people.

I like the concept of them paying livable wages to it's employees and the food was good. Service was a bit slow but it is on my list to go back and try some new dishes. The back room was cold and other patrons we're complaining as almost everyone was still wearing their coats. I am assuming it was due to the glass garage door they have installed for the warmer months.

Completely mediocre and it cost a fortune. The Crispy Brussel Sprouts were wet and sour. They had a 9% pickup charge which is crazy and egregious. The Dry-Rub Wings were flavorless and tasted like boiled chicken from Max’s Deli. I will say that it’s nice to see a place like this in Glencoe. But this establishments needs to up their game.

Holy cannoli! Poppy’s does not disappoint. Our mozzarella sticks and Caesar salad were delicious, but the Margherita pizza truly stole the show. The crust alone is a reason to stop by, but the kind staff, fun cocktails, and positive mission will keep you coming back for more.

What a great addition to the Glencoe restaurant scene. We had lunch there on a Sunday and the food was super fresh, great service and a really pleasant atmosphere. We loved the meatball dish and the crunchy chicken as well as the grilled one was juicy, fresh, and well seasoned. Everything came out in a timely matter and all the employees were very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back!

Pizza is crazy delicious. As lifetime Chicagoans we know good pizza, and Poppy's is a unique yet delicious pizza pie. It reminds me of a better version of Pequods, which is high praise. Great addition to our downtown!

Such an awesome restaurant. The food is great. Their Greek salad is so good and we are in love with their baked ravioli and chicken parm sandwich. But, the best thing about this place is the staff. They are so nice and create an environment that is so welcoming. So happy you all are in the neighborhood.

My sister-in-law and I took our daughters (5 year olds) here for a girls dinner. Not only is the pizza unreal but the service was wonderful. The girls were treated with cherry slushies and fun pictures to color. It's a happy family friendly spot, but also would be great for a date night or girls night out! Can't wait to go back!

Pizza, burger and service was good. Nice addition to the neighborhood. Two small things - bell peppers in hummos appetizer cut for a salad and not for dipping and glass of wine very small. My husband used the QR code to pay our bill and we were charged a 19% service charge for a party of 3. Not sure if that is standard, the charge to pay by phone or what, but something to watch for!

Great addition to the neighborhood. We came for lunch and sat on the patio. Ordered the cesar, cheeseburger, and pepperoni pizza with hot honey and ricotta. All the food was great, but the pizza was the star. Also the bar inside looked like a great place to catch a game. Will definitely be back soon.

Finally got to try the pepperoni pizza with whipped ricotta and hot ? honey ? . What a great combination of flavors. Ate it in slices not too floppy. Like a Sicilian + the cheesey ? burnt edge crust. We will definitely be going back as this pie did not disappoint. It exceeded expectations and we wish everyone the best of luck here!
