I had the pork shank and it was the leanest and tastiest I have ever had. Sauerkraut was very good too. Beer selection fabulous. Wish I lived closer, so I could try them all before I'm gone.
We stopped in for an early dinner midweek. The place was nearly empty, but as I mentioned, it was early. I was in the mood for good German food, and we were not disappointed. The sauerbraten was tender and delicious. Accompanied by spaezel and red cabbage, the German experience was complete. We also had the jagerschnitzel. It waspounded thin and the breading crisp. Another excellent German meal tonight! Schnitzel Platz has a great friendly staff and a warm welcoming atmosphere. We had great German beer, sausage platter, potato pancakes, Weiner schnitzel, red cabbage, and home fries. We will be back soon and would recommend to anyone to some here in Glendale Heights for a great German.meal.
