Attentive server. Food delicious. Quiet ambiance which was so nice. Thank you. Our favorite Italian restaurant.
Usually a gem of a find, tucked into the golf course. Great views and friendly atmosphere.
Not real well marked - dark, not sure we had right place. Really a 4.50 + We'll be back if again in the area.
Our Glenbrook South High School Class of ’67 had our Reunion dinner there in mid October 2025. The food and service were outstanding. Manager Fidel was fantastic and he, the kitchen and the staff made this a very memorable event for all of us. Additionally, they did a wonderful job accommodating our Class Rock & Roll Band.

We were fortunate enough to book course Italian for our high school reunion this weekend. Fidel, our catering manager was outstanding, Doing everything he possibly could to make our event a total success. They were able to accommodate our homemade band, in addition to helping us in every in anyway they could. The food was outstanding and the staff did everything they could to make us happy and to make sure we did everything on our time not theirs. I can’t think Fidel, his staff and the Glenview golf course enough for Giving us A fabulous time and incredible memories! And by the way, Fidel has a fabulous voice and was gracious enough to sing a few songs along with our 60s band😉

Hidden gem! It's tucked away inside the golf course, so not many people seem to know about it, but the food is outstanding — the homemade pastas were absolute dynamite.
The place was enpty. The waitress was not very responsive, both my friends spaghetti & my chicken Parmesan were so spicy we could hardly eat it. When we told the waitress she didn't really seem to care much. Needless to say I won't be going back.
Coarse Italian gets one thing right: the view. The rest was a disaster. Drinks were watered down and overly sweet (tasted like juice). My wife’s skirt steak was so tough it was inedible. My short-rib gnocchi arrived with small, chewy cubes of meat and an off texture — not what short ribs should be. We returned our plates. I can’t figure out the positive reviews — this place is a bust. Save your time and money.

Food was ok, server seemed frightened and had a hard time answering questions about the menu, the redeeming factor was the updated decor and the view of the beautiful golf course.

Service is very good and food was delicious .large groups made it a little noisy but overall very nice
The food and staff were absolutely amazing. The food is fresh and delicious and the staff was lovely and accomodating.
I returned to Coarse Italian with my kids and discovered what makes this place special. The Spaghetti and Meatballs, with hearty homemade pasta and savory meat sauce, had everyone smiling. We also shared the delightful Whipped Ricotta Bruschetta—cream cheese topped with fig jam and honey—that’s evidently one of their most beloved dishes. Warm service and a family-friendly vibe made our second visit just as comforting as the first.

Eggplant parm was large and good but small salad was $9 and only had lettuce some tiny chopped tomatoes and celery very disappointing. No side pasta which always comes in most Italian restaurants
The perfect spot on a cooler summer evening. Waitress (Kiki) was a breath of fresh air, so pleasant and vibrant.
