We enjoyed our food very much. This place offered southern soul food cuisines just like our mothers would cook for Sunday dinners. The service was great. They made sure we were well cared for. We visited on early Sunday afternoon and were able to be seated immediately. We are planning to go back one evening when the entertainment is on the stage.

Tonight I had the pleasure of dining at Dee's place. This establishment is very well decorated. The staff was very kind and attentive. I met the owner Miss Dee and she's such a beautiful person she was very attentive and made sure that we had a great experience. Now let's get down to the food it was really good and just like the rest of the reviews the chicken was amazing and I didn't order the chicken my cousin did. I had smothered pork chops which were delectable the gravy was awesome. If you ever get the chance I highly recommend that you stop by this restaurant I promise you'll enjoy yourself. Our server for the evening was a young man named Desmond. He made sure that my cousin and I had a great experience as well so thank you Desmond for everything you did for us this evening.

The fried chicken was amazing and we just loved the sides. Dee, herself, was super sweet and helped us do a menu hack of a choice of 1 meat, 2 sides and cornbread instead of buying separately. We’ll def be coming back!

My family group returned to Dee’s after a great first experience. It has only gotten better! Outside dining! The pork ribs were fallin-off-the-bone good, and the fried chicken as well as the baked chicken were delicious. Sides include collard greens, black-eyed peas, and jambalaya rice. The famous Dee herself greeted us. We will be back!

If it weren't for the live band and delicious hot wings, I would give a 2.All the food was hot so we never care about wait time when the food is fresh. The wait was really really long, which would not have been an issue but they brought our appetizers with the food! So it was pointless to order appetizers!Hubby had smothered oxtails, I had "smothered" chicken. Biggest let down was the chicken, the "dressing", and oxtail ALL HAD THE SAME GRAVY! The dressing tasted EXACTLY like stove top stuffing....the mac was dry....the greens tasted like vinegar. He asked for a taste of the yams to see if he wanted to add a 3rd side.....a long time later she brought a sample of black eyed peas and I never got my extra gravy. The smothered chicken just had gravy poured on it, that's very different from being Soul Food smothered. The cornbread was drier than the desert so when she forgot mine with my meal it's safe to say I should have let it stay where she brought it from. The soul rolls were not good, the fried green tomatoes were good.We came, we saw, that's about it.

This place is great. It was busy, so it took a little time to get our food. While we waited, the band, Charles and Company began to play, and they were amazing. We had so much fun watching them. Our food came in a reasonable amount of time, and it was good, hot and plentiful. It was great that families were there with their kids dancing and having fun. There were fireworks across the street that night as an added bonus.

Let me explain to you about this place so my wife and her girlfriend go there and they had a great time and the food was great. So my wife bought food home for me. The carryout needs help. The rib was exceptional. The sausage was dry very dry. The macaroni was very dry, very dry. The red beans and rice excellent The cornbread. I give it three stars out of five now. I went there a second time to get carryout and here's what we got. Same order. The ribs were hard as a rock. Do not go to this place. When they first open up for carryout they will give you the food that they should not be serving anyone. The macaroni was excellent. This time The greens were bland The red beans and rice. Excellent The sausage once again dry season properly dry as the Sahara desert. The ribs were terrible. The cornbread was okay. We came 18 miles. Their kitchen for carryout is terrible. I repeat do not get carry out food. Would I come back to this place? Yes, but I would sit at a table so that if they brought me out this terrible food I could tell them about it. I'm just going to judge this place by the carryout two stars

Your sides are greatly overpriced. $7.00 for a tiny piece of corn on the cob is ridiculous. The chicken was good. Maybe you should charge a little more and include a side. Disappointed! We left before the music began since we were there around 5 pm and were gone before they started.

My family group of five enjoyed a wonderful outdoor dinner at Dee’s Place in Glenview. The service was attentive and the food great. The ribs and the fried chicken were classic, and sides such as grits snd collared greens were tasty and are hard to find anywhere. The baked chicken was tender and good. This place just reopened after a premature covid start up. Many patrons were inside at the bar, and the restaurant has live music on weekends. Try it, you’ll like it.

The food was absolutely DELICIOUS! The Owner, Mrs. Dee, graciously came over to our table to ensure that all was well during our visit. Great ambiance too. We will be back!

Live music option...Excellent..The food for me was very disappointing...cooks do not season food well enough even though asked to do so. after ordering my friend green tomatoes...I realized I should make it k own I need more seasoning...Didn't work..My chicken had No Seasoning!!!!My macaroni and cheese needed Help!Dressing was sorry...My lemonade was watered down...Venue is nice but food I chose..was NOT TASTY...on the other hand my father loved his beef short ribs and mom loved her barbeque...The Chicken will definitely need sauce.

The service was horrible horrible horrible.. They told me the one price of my drink and when I got the bill it was more. The server never came back never checked on me left all the dirty dishes on the table never filled my water and when it's ready to leave they apologized and said oh sorry there was only 7 tables in there and the place probably hit 30 tables but they had horrible service.. Never explain the menu didn't bring me a wine list let alone a drink list. I won't be back. I sit down 1st with my friends and the table behind me got their water got their drinks and got their appetizers we waited 15 minutes before someone got to my Table.

I come into the office once a week. To my surprise I was very excited to try this restaurant out. I spent $37 on salty chicken, mashed potatoes with orange gravy, potato salad was miracle whip/potato, and the banana pudding forget about it let's not discuss it. To say the least I will not order anything from your restaurant ever again. I spent the rest of my work day hungry and disgusted.
