This is the perfect neighborhood restaurant. The staff are very good. The food is very good and it has a nice ambience. I love the fireplace as well.

The food is fabulous! I have recommended it to family and friends and one had a party at your Wilmette location. The burger was GRRRRRRRRRRR8! OMG the chip french fries are to die for. So, many years ago when I worked in that area, my work friends and I would go there for lunch. Always good food and a fun sort of place. I highly recommend their burgers, so much better than the place on Lake Street which are always greasy. I can't eat them as they truly make me sick. So, i don't step foot in that place, but I am always ready to go to Valley Lodge. I had their turkey meal, OMG there was enough food on the plate to feed at least 3 people. Turkey was good with accommodating sides, dressing, cranberry, veggie, mashed potatoes and extra gravy. Yum, if you have nowhere to go this Thanksgiving try this Valley Lo Lodge you won't be sorry. Very popular local restaurant with great ribs. Has a wonderful enclosed patio where windows can be opened in good weather and closed in colder weather.

An old Glenview, staple with that Wisconsin Lodge feel. The restaurant leans Greek, so can recommend the feta burger, Greek salad with gyros as well as Greek chicken. The bar is old school, and comfortable.

Consistently great food and service everytime! Our local glenview go-to for dinner or a quick beer at the bar. Always packed for dinner!

Food was delicious. Husband had the salad with half-pound cheeseburger on it & he said it was a perfect medium rare. I had turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing & pea pods. An unusual vegetable but delicious. Everything was seasoned perfectly - not just salt & pepper! Best stuffing I've ever had, including my own! My only criticism is that the restaurant is so NOISY. We tried to sit outside but told it was full, waiting for reservations to arrive. With food that delicious we may carry out next time to avoid that noise!

Love Valley Lodge, can honestly say I've have not had a bad meal here. Problem is we love so many of the apps, we get full on those. For apps, saganaki, shrimp, french onion soup, gyros and pretzel bites are our favorites. I know that's half the menu already! For entrees, we like the mini filet sandwiches on pretzel buns, the chicken kabob with rice is great - so moist! Don't even like rice a lot and the rice it comes with is outstanding with the lemon butter sauce. So many options you can't go wrong, great cozy family atmosphere and even if there is a wait they do their best to get you in as quick as they can.

The salmon was good and the others enjoyed their skirt steak. The service was fair in that I had to ask twice and waited awhile for bread. The restaurant was noisy for a Tuesday night and the pricing was fair

I'm honestly surprised at these reviews. We were recommended to come here by someone who lives local. We went to Valley Lodge for lunch and had a great time. The food was good, service was great (shout out to Manny for being the best waiter!!) and the ambiance of the back room with the fireplace was amazing!! I would recommend this place to others.

I had the Lodge burger. It was good. Loved the bacon. The interior is lodge-appropriate -- lots of wood, a fireplace, big and rather loud. The service was quick and friendly. I know this place has been around for a long time and is a Glenview favorite.

Service and ambiance were good at this longstanding Glenview spot. Hadn't been there in over a year, and we met friends for dinner. Ordered mini beef tenderloin sandwiches (which were indicated on the menu as a Valley Lodge favorite). Was disappointed by the small amount, and texture of the meat. Wine servings were not what we expected either.

Great local place, with a Wisconsin Supper Club-type vibe. I called on a Saturday afternoon and asked if we needed a reservation if we were there by 4:45 PM. She said no, come on over! We ran a little late, and didn't get there until 5:15 PM, and by then there were just two tables left. We chose the one farther from the door, and it was fine, but next time we'll get there just a bit earlier! This place is very popular! We started with the Saganaki, which was delicious. Our server flamed it at the table, which was fun since so many places don't do that anymore. Some very tasty bread was served - several slices, each of crusty white and pumpernickel - with a nicely ample serving of whipped butter. Our choice of soup or salad was the minestrone. It was hearty and yummy. We both ordered our entrées from their Specials menu - I had the Shrimp de Jonghe, and my husband had the Prime Rib. I loved that the shrimp came with just a side of buttered pasta, and nothing else. That with the shrimp was plenty for me! There were six large shrimp, ensconced in garlic butter then covered and baked with breadcrumbs. It was delicious. Also, much to my pleasure as it doesn't seem to be the case much these days, they had removed the full shell, so no need to forage with my fingers in the garlic butter to extract the tail shells. Yay!My husband's prime rib came with green beans, and his choice of potato, which was garlic mashed. It was a huge cut of meat, and he said it was very good. I did sneak a small taste, and would've preferred a little more peppercorn flavoring, but it was very good, and served perfectly medium rare. He was happy!I had their house Manhattan, and he had a mai tai. Both drinks were very good.We were too full for dessert, but that leaves something for us to try the next time!

Great food, decent prices, very noisy! Wait staff is good, we had sandwiches and ribs, fish and desert! This place is consistently yummy. I wish it wasn't quite so noisy but it just means they are very busy
