I had an incredible dining experience at Funbeerking last night! I was so impressed with their new menu, which offers a fantastic variety of options. It was clear a lot of thought and creativity went into crafting each dish. I highly recommend starting with the Sotteok Sotteok. For my main course, I ordered the chicken with eggmayo with chilli.
The staff was also wonderful—friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the new menu. The ambiance was great, too, making it the perfect spot for a special night out or just a delicious meal. I can't wait to go back and try more of their new dishes!

This is a Korean gastropub that opened up last year. It’s still kind of unknown since when we went, it wasn’t very busy. This place is not huge and seating can be limited, depending on the day and time you go. Like other reviewers said, the service is top notch. They are very attentive and kind. The parking lot is shared with other businesses. Prices are very fair. Food portions are generous, you won’t go hungry. We ordered bulgogi japchae, half shrimp half bulgogi k-pizza, snowy pork cutlet, honey garlic bone-in wings, and ice fruit punch bowl.
-bulgogi japchae 5 - it has a bit of a kick to it but it’s very good. Bulgogi was plentiful. -half shrimp half bulgogi k-pizza 5 - star of the show. I really loved that pastry crust and it was cheesy too. One k-pizza is not enough. -snowy pork cutlet 5 - very large portion. Pork cutlet with cheese. The meat was tender. -honey garlic wings 5 - very crunchy skin and meaty. Honestly, as long as you order any kind of wings you’ll be good. The meat was tender and succulent. -ice fruit punch bowl 5 - this is a good dessert at the end of a heavy meal but it is huge. Best to share this with 3 or more people. There is some ice cream inside that ice in the middle.

After checking into a local hotel quite late (9:30 pm) after missing a connecting flight at O’Hare, we were looking for a place for dinner that we could walk to, was open and wasn’t fast food. Funbeerking was perfect and…fun! They are open until 1 am on weeknights. It’s apparently a traditional Korean gastro pub, maybe even a chain from Korea. The food was terrific - we had the K-spiced boneless chicken and the bulgogi pizza on pastry crust and both were super yummy. The service was also attentive and nice and they had K-pop videos playing on a big screen throughout. Very very fun and highly recommended!

Went to FunBeerKing after a long day riding. Ordered bulgogi with glass noodles, and meal hit the spot. Also my server Jerry was very pleasant and attentive, which made my whole experience extremely satisfying. Will be coming back

The egg mayo chicken here is absolutely amazing! The crispy texture, combined with the rich egg mayo sauce and spicy peppers, is just perfect. I order it every time I come—this is already my third visit! This time, I also tried the new gopchang jeongol and snowflake donkatsu. The gopchang jeongol wasn’t really my thing, but the snowflake donkatsu was incredible. And their pizza? Easily one of the best I’ve ever had! Surprisingly, it wasn’t too crowded during dinner, which I don’t get—this place is a total hidden gem. Honestly, one of the best spots I’ve been to!
