We have been going to Jasper‘s many times. The service has been declining substantially recently. Went there yesterday and had to wait a long time for a server to come for our our order. The soup was delivered with the rest of the meal versus normally where we would get it first so that when we got the main item, it wouldn’t get cold waiting for us to finish eating the soup. They need more help and soon. I will try once more, but if the service continues as bad as it has beenrecently, I will not come back.

It closes at 3:30 pm on Mondays and of course we showed up at 2:45, easily finding parking in the vast, freshly blacktopped lot. (My co-diner didn't tell me it was soon to close for the day, as he was the one who checked what was then-open in the area.)
But our late arrival didn't affect the good service. Service was very good and the atmosphere was clean and bright this sunny Monday, seated next to a wall of windows facing Waukegan Rd.
Food was fine and, in agreement with some other reviews, not the most flavorful. However, salt and pepper were at every table with the implied expectation that diners could season their food to taste. (That cooking style was the norm in college, so no complaints.) And portions were large. If we weren't very hungry we certainly would have taken home leftovers.
We've yet to try the coffee but the hot chocolate was fine and orange juice very good. Prices were also reasonable.

Went on a monday and only like a dozen people in the place. It took awhile to get a waiter. The food was good but never got water and no refill on the coffee and when it was time to leave we waited forever for the check since the waiter was MIA. Staff needs to do better.

Placed an order online. They took $80 payment, but had no record of it-it shows on my credit card! No manager on duty, so no refund. They recently stopped delivering, too. Delivery shows on the website, but when you click on it, you just get an error. Going downhill fast. I used to like them. Now I'm not coming back.

⭐️ 0 stars if I could! This place is unbelievable — there’s an empty parking lot but you’re not allowed to park there because it’s “his business,” which makes no sense at all. The owner is extremely rude and disrespectful. I’ve never met someone so unprofessional. With that attitude, I doubt he’ll ever have a good business or loyal customers. Save yourself the trouble and stay far away! Yes yes, I don’t care about the food or whatever — I’ll leave the review exactly as it is because parking is part of the community and the service they provide to their potential clients. Ahahaha!
