This place is ALWAYS great !!! Have been coming here for years, and the food is terrific, without fail. Huge portions, mean leftovers !!! The chicken soup is fit for a king. The crunchy ground beef tacos are excellent too. DO NOT SKIP THIS PLACE if you're in the area. Staff is always friendly and nice as well. Long live Lalo's !!!

Been going there for more years than I care to remember (since it opened and Marcus ran the place). One of my favorite places to take friends when I’m back in the area. I’d give a special shout-out to members of the staff, but they’re all so good I’d be sure to forget someone important. Just tell em “Jefe” sent you.

Lalo's goes back to 26 street so you know is a Mexican classic.

We had my father’s retirement party here. The appetizers for the party were good in quantity and taste, except the nachos. the appetizer comes with small bites of tamal, flauta, flour tortilla quesadilla, and nachos. the nachos were very dry. Before your main course they give you a small cup of chicken broth. I had the lime margarita and mango margarita, both delicious! I also had the chile rellenos, tasty and big. For dessert they give flan. I didn’t like the flan that much. It was very much more of a jell-o than a custard.

Really good Mexican food. This is a favorite place to have a meal when in the area. Good portion sizes, lots to choose from, and good service. Lots of seating. Vegetarian and family friendly.

Big portions, good service. Diners were mostly big groups of people of families and friends - majority sat outside to enjoy the weather in the nice patio area. Dinners come with soup, which is always the best. Love that chicken soup! Prices reflect the large portions, and are decent. Wish there were more drinks on the menu than just margaritas. Beautiful interiors. Separate bar area. Always a good dining experience here!

GROUPS GREATER THAN 4 DON'T GO! My family and I, group of 8, went here for my parents' anniversary. My mom wanted to see the mariachi. They originally told us it was a 30 minute wait. Then 30 minutes passed and they said it would be an hour. Then they kept telling us it would be so many minutes until finally after almost 2 hours later, the host told us she didn't know how long it would be because we were a big group. How pathetically incompetent does the staff have to be to not know how to accommodate a group of 8 people? They should have told us that they're not trained for that right away. What a waste of time that was.
