the food was amazing quality and price is very reasonable as well. the lady that served us on 5/19/2025 was super super kind ❤️
Wonderful small local restaurant with great food for reasonable prices.
Manooben is the cutest little hole-in-the-wall! It's cozy, homey, and owned by the sweetest Korean mama and papa. The kind of place that makes you feel at home. The name of the restaurant is an acronym for maki, noodle, and bento lol. So cute.
I tried the hand roll combo. Two massive hand rolls, packed with fresh ingredients, and a bowl of homemade udon that hit all the spot. The broth was simple but flavorful. It was clean and refreshingly light. The hand rolls were absolutely perfect. I'd go weekly for this combo if this place was near my workplace.
I also tried the spring train maki. The texture and flavors were solid, but those rolls are so fat and hearty, it will fill your whole mouth with every bite. You can really feel the love from the papa chef with those fat cuts.
Lastly, I tried the sashimi rice (Hwedupbap). The bowl was massive, and I wanted one at home so bad. This dish is also very simple, fresh sashimi over rice, drizzled with their homemade sauce. I love a good homemade sauce. I ended up squeezing that sauce onto every bite cause I love my food saucy.
Such a small place, full of love! I can't wait to go back.
Ordered a party platter of sushi. The food was very tasty and fresh. The person who attended me was very nice and made sure I had enough utensils for my takeout order. Inside was very clean and organized. Looking forward to returning 👍
This place is amazing. It’s like you are in someone’s home. The waitress was so nice and friendly, like having dinner at a family friend’s place. Food was also delicious. It is tucked away in the back corner of the shopping square. Don’t miss out!
Wonderful, prompt service. Cozy atmosphere. Delicious food. I had the Hand Roll combo with two hand rolls and udon soup.
This place doesn’t get enough recognition!!! It’s a wonderful little restaurant with the sweetest servers and some really great food!! 100/10 would definitely go back!!
Small quiet restaurant with very good food. Very authentic Japanese food. Staff was very friendly.
This place is a favorite of mine. It's just so QUAINT inside, like you're in the kitchen of the Japanese grandmother you wish you had. The sushi is delicious and the udon and green tea will warm your cold January bones. The fish is fresh and the woman who works there is so sweet. I wish I only lived closer!
My 10 yr old grandson stepped in and said, it's so peaceful here, it's beautiful. Dragon rolls, tuna and salmon Maki were fresh and delicious. It is now Sean's favorite sushi restaurant. That's high praise! ❤️

Very hard to find this place because it’s way in the back and next door to Johnny’s Kitchen and Bar. The lady who served us was very sweet and attentive. The atmosphere was nothing to write home about. The food, however, really wasn’t that good. I ordered a bento box with supposedly sashimi, tempura, potato salad, see weed salad and a California roll. There was 2 pieces of white fish that was okay, but the tuna was shockingly cut into 3 slivers that was translucent! It was like they ran out of tuna and didn’t want to admit it. I’ve never seen someone serve tuna sashimi like that and it had no taste to it. The California roll was mostly rice. The tempura wasn’t with a panko coating. It was very greasy and tasted like that from a Cantonese restaurant. She also didn’t serve it with Tempari sauce. Potato salad was Korean style. I was hungry so I ate it all, but would not come back.
My family and I went in today for a nice lunch. As soon as we entered, they offered hot barley tea. Perfect for a cold day.
We had delicious tempura, seafood udon, pork cutlets, and a bento sashimi box. The sashimi was such delicious quality. Melted in my mouth.
Loved it! 10/10.
Lovely owner, great quality, always super friendly.
This was a great little surprise date night spot. Not a huge menu but everything they had on the menu was fresh and great. The owner served us and she was a gear host
We dined in on a week night
