A must stop! Opened in 1933 in Wilmette, IL. Time definitely stands still in this old place. It must've been an old house. The bar is covered with amazing old beer lights, mirrors, and signs. Definitely old school American bar food. Cash only. Atm on-site. Great staff as well.

I know it's a local staple, but styrofoam plates, carpet in the dinning room and cash only are all no-go for me. The Dab beer was good but I make a better ham and cheese sandwich at home. Service was good, but I'll take my business elsewhere.

lovely local place! enjoyed the vibe but the only downside was the older man we had as a bartender was very rude and made us feel a little unwelcome as first timers.
