Looking to try a local restaurant that we had never trued yet. We were impressed with both the food and the service. Everything was delicious!

The Kimchi Bulgogi Fried Rice and Brisket Ramen are amazing! Their sushi according to my husband is also really good. The service can be improved but overall I love coming to this place.

The black scallop sushi was really good.

Fairly average place - there is an aftertaste to every fish that i ate (took 5 nigiri and one sig maki combo).... Wouldn't come here again.

This place used to be good several years ago, but now, their food is sadly mediocre. The salmon teriyaki I had was bone dry, bland, and tasted old. The portions were also very small for the price. Their maki and sushi were also just average at best. They also don't include things like chopsticks and soy sauce packets for take-out orders which is a shame.

Food was pretty good, they did not have any fresh fish when I visited but overall it was good. I sometimes think that fries shrimp vegetable dish is over priced as it is just put some batter and fry, like random pieces of vegi and one shrimp and charge customers. Well, I dont know, I would not go back to dine in anytime soon as foods were not that memorable, but maybe next year. When they got toro.

Just got the delivery order, writing the review not even finished the food. The Salmon Carpaccio is awful - I’ve never seen any carpaccio with those fat part of salmon included (photo), and I’m not going to finish it because the fish doesn’t smell or taste fresh, it’s not. Then, my Salmon Entree box was damaged, so all the veggie liquid was right in the bag, however- I tried the salmon, it’s just completely DRY. Vegetables? Just the cabbage/carrots as in any chinese Food Court place + I found the MEAT in there, and it wasn’t a nice surprise, because I do not eat any kind of meat. Why it was in there - no ideas.Another person ordered 3 special rolls - and two of them were COMPLETELY awful, the third one is average.I wouldn’t even write a review, but it’s really sad for the price of $170 and I honestly feel unsatisfied, the nice dinner is ruined.

Really solid Sushi spot in Glenview. It's nice and clean. I really enjoyed my 4 piece Nigiri Sushi combo. The Sushi is quality and actually reasonably priced compared to some of the other places in the area. Only room for improvement is the service. It's not bad by any means, but it seems like the servers don't have particular table assignments making it hard to have consistent service. Overall it's a great place to eat!

In a sea of Korean spots in the Glenview area, it's actually a little difficult to find other Chinese or Japanese options. Sharing the same plaza as Bonchon, Paik's Noodle, and SDG Dubu, Mozu is a refreshing alternative if you're in the mood for Japanese food. While it might lean a little bit towards Asian fusion territory, it's still a good sushi spot. The main downside is the price. Signature maki rolls are $17-20, apps are $13-15, and entrees are like $18-23. Kimchi Bulgogi Fried Rice - Super flavorful rice. A little light on the bulgogi and the gochujang flavor, but still a decent side to pair with the other dishes. Donkasu - Surprisingly huge breaded pork cutlet. Decent value for the amount of food you get. Buta Don - Basically a pork rice bowl. Thin slices of marinated pork, egg, and rice. The juices from the meat flavor every bite of the rice. Buta Carbonara - This fusion dish had some potential. Thinly sliced pork, udon noodles, and a creamy carbonara sauce sounded great on the menu. The sauce was really thin and runny without much flavor, and it had an overwhelming amount of red onion and scallions. Beef Teriyaki - Pretty thick chunks of steak glazed in a sweet/salty teriyaki sauce. Decent mix of meat of veggies. Not as much filler as I expected. Bulgogi Fries - Think of Portillo's cheese fries topped with a mound of bulgogi and red onions. I love that it's a cheese sauce rather than half melted cheddar. Also, it was a pretty big plate of fries. Speaking from the perspective of someone who doesn't like sushi at all, the signature maki rolls here are great (although very expensive). These are some of my personal favorites: Big Mama - Shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, avocado, cream cheese, spicy crab, eel sauce Kani Crunch - Crab, cream cheese, avocado Crispy Garlic - Shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, spicy mayo, eel sauce King Kong - Shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, crab, spicy mayo, unagi sauce Overall Mozu is one of the only non-Korean Asian places in that area, and provides solid food but at a little steep price point.

Food was overall good. The buta-don donburi was oversauced and became a salty rice soup. The service was terrible. They did not check up on us and we had to raise our voice to get their attention. Not only is it a disturbance but it was also embarrassing for us to do so. We finished our food and our check did not come until about 30 minutes later. They also gave us the wrong check and did not come to pick up payment either. We had to walk up and hand it to them. Overall it was a terrible experience for my birthday dinner. Would not go again.

HORRIBLE customer service! We went with another family last month. Both staff we dealt with were not friendly and just overall unpleasant. They brought us a wrong dish, didn't apologize but said we wouldn't get charged, and didn't even bring the right dish. I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Maybe the staff had a bad night. I went back with my mom and sister's family for Mother's Day tonight. Same staff, same bad service. The server seemed aloof and impatient when taking our order, we weren't ever checked on after we got our food, the server didn't bring our check after bringing us to go containers but he took care of his friend's table promptly with their check. I don't know if we were treated differently because we had young kids with us but if you're in the restaurant business, I would think customer service should be a priority with or without kids. Didn't seem like it at this restaurant the two times I went. The food itself is decent but definitely overpriced. We will never go back again.

Genuinely curious on how this place has such good reviews. I might have come on a bad day but it definitely was not it. First of all, as I walked in I noticed there was only one other table seated and this was dinner time so you'd expect to see the tables mostly full. I should've listened to my gut feeling and walked out the door but gave it the benefit of the doubt. It took a hot minute for the waiter to come by. He seemed exhausted, sweaty and basically didn't seem to want us there. We proceeded to order. As someone who worked the restaurant industry I can't help myself but look into details that a normal person would bypass as they had dirty kitchen walls/floors, restroom, etc. when you are eating it's a whole experience not just the food which plays a major role and brings me to the point of the review. For appetizer we had the Mozu salad. The ginger dressing was great as well as the portion for the salad. However, the lettuce needed more draining because it had a lot of water at the bottom. For the main course we ordered miso ramen and subbed for chicken which was a big disappointment. It all seemed as it was cooked way too fast. The broth had little flavor and very watered down. But mostly the chicken was the worst I've ever had in my life and I am not exaggerating. It was so rubbery and hard to chew we skipped it all together. We also ordered some classic rolls like salmon, California and avo/cucumber for my daughter and the size was tiny my toddler wasn't even full. All in all it was a disappointment and would definitely not be back. I understand staffing is an issue but I'd rather have a business be closed early than overwork their staff or better yet serve below mediocre food. At the end of the day as a paying customer you want to invest your earned money in something that will make you fulfilled and in return fulfill someone else's need for job. I still tipped because I never skip on that even though the food and service were just sad. Restaurants like Mozu make me hesitant to try new local restaurants.

Had a family dinner here last weekend. Food was good, service was meh at best. Moreover, we have two GF people in our family and it was very hard to find a suitable meal. Would not return to dine in, but might do take out. My roll was very good as was my son's ramen. The entire dining experience was less than ideal.
