We had a reservation for Easter Brunch for 11 and a high chair. When we arrived it was a bar height table. I mentioned it to them. They were very gracious apologized and corrected the problem within 15 minutes. This was my first time at the Oak at The Glen. Nice variety at the buffet, great omelets, crap cakes, paiella, lox and bagels, fruit, desserts. Nice selection for children. Everyone we had contact with was cheerful and seemed happy we were there. I highly recommend.

Went here a few weeks back. Great burger and solid draft beers. My only issue was the waitress who seemed to have been rushing my table. It wasn’t busy and we were barely there. I understand wanting quick service, which is always a plus. But to be rushed after eating with the bill, when I expected to have 2 more drinks was quite shocking. So I decided, screw it, I’ll leave and go somewhere with better service where I don’t feel rushed. I’ve never had a server give me the bill right after finishing our food… within 3 minutes she dropped the bill off and said here you go. Did she think we were going to dine and dash? I don’t know frankly. However, the rude staff has kept me from ever coming back even though their food and beer list was exceptional!

We have never been here. The fried pickles are so so good. The espresso martini is good and Manhattan was really good. Come here.

The first time we tried to dine here for dinner we called ahead to be put on the wait list and we were told 20min. When we arrived well within the timeframe they didn’t have our name down. When I tried to let the hostess know we called ahead, she cut me off and said the wait was over an hour and if we didn’t want to wait we should go someplace else. I understand being busy, but she could’ve been nicer, I wasn’t argumentative and she didn’t have time to hear me. We honestly avoided this place for a year because of that experience. Recently we decided to try again during lunch time and we were seated right away. The food was good, I had the wedge salad and my husband had the chicken sandwich. The staff was nice, completely different experience.

Nice ambience, good beer and service. The wine selection is weak and over priced. That is what reduces the frequency of my visits.

Food and drinks were fine, wait staff seemed disinterested with us and took forever to take orders and fill them. Very pricy, given the produced

Highly recommended. What appears to be the usual oak wood and whiskey American restaurant is actually much better than the chain version many people expect. This is NOT a chain. The owner minds the store -- nearly always a good indication in my experience. Our first visit, he was out of town, but our second visit, he came to our table, was engaging, friendly and attentive. Speaking of attentive, our server was excellent. Many choices on the menu, including remarkably good chicken fingers, homemade chicken soup, several variations of burgers, and many other options. My brother had the short rib with risotto. He enjoyed it. I had the jambalaya. While not quite authentic, it was delicious and I would order it again. Vegetables were not overcooked. Two kinds of french fries/fried potatoes; both are very good. 300 kinds of whiskey (including many bourbons); most of which are lesser known labels that the owner has personally selected and tasted. He is very familiar with all of his menu, and he is very proud of it. He should be.

Love their menu and they take time preparing their food. The dining area is cute and there is a lot of seating options. I wish they had more staff, otherwise I recommend. Their summer time seating is fabulously put together and a good place to bring your family .
