I’m half Greek and I always like to go to establishments that are owned by Greek people and today I went to SPIRO’S deli because I was looking for something a little different. I guess I don’t know and I’ve driven past SPIRO’S thousands of times because I live in the area, but never stopped for food, and I saw that the reviews were pretty darn good! I am not sure if these are bought and paid for reviews or what, now I know that the atmosphere in that place has never been anything grand. I know that much however, if you’re charging 55 bucks for an order for two people, I think you can afford to put some money into the look of your place. It’s very offputting that’s number one number two the person in particular that they had there today I don’t know if that’s a Monday through Sunday, Monday through Saturday Monday through Friday. What person that is I have no idea but with friends like that who needs enemies just someone that didn’t really have much of a pleasant disposition and as slow as he moved to get my food together, which is basically just two orders, two orders of fries, two orders of sandwiches just two sandwiches and some soup. It just seemed like it took this person an eternity to put the food together and on top of that forgot to include a condiment that I had asked for on the side that I did not want on one of the sandwiches. So not only was the service subpar. The food was got awful. The sandwich I ordered, which was an Italian beef that had to be the fattest toughest beef I have had from anywhere no peppers on the side like I asked for and the fries were charred. it was terrible. I wouldn’t recommend anybody going there. The soup wasn’t anything special either! Just an all around bad experience!

Simply the best. Mr. Beef learned from Spiro back in the day. This is the OG roast beef spot. Subs, burgers, Greek salads...it's all amazing. Ask for the off menu Western pita sandwich for a grilled chicken treat. Great service, relaxed atmosphere, and local legacy all in one spot.

Not sure why I never knew of this place. Lived in Glenview for over a decade in late ‘80’s-90’s. Been here since ‘67. First visit I had the delicious Italian beef, dipped hot. Very meaty sandwich either 6” or 9”. Make it a bomber with Swiss, pickles, onion and special sauce my next visit.
Obviously you are not coming here for the ambience. You're coming for the love of sandwiches and hands downs the best french fries on the North Shore. Made to order deli favorites. Make sure to have a bite of everything!!

Infinity/10 if your looking for a taste of the original chicago, you can probably lick the street or pay a visit with Spiro, had the Italian beef it was amazing. Such a warm and welcome environment. Not a long wait for good food. Check them out you will not be disappointed
