We ordered in from Szechwan North. We had the edamame appetizer, Szechuan string beans, Mongolian beef and chicken with snow peas. Everything was delicious and we had plenty of leftovers for later. Also, a nice place to dine in with attentive service.

Mongolian beef was excellent! Very tender and tasty! I thought this was one of the best in Chicagoland!

had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant! The flavors were bold, authentic, and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of spice. Every dish we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The service was friendly and attentive, and the staff made great recommendations based on our preferences. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, making it a great spot for both casual meals and special occasions. If you're looking for real Szechuan flavors, this place is definitely worth a visit!

My daughter and I arrived around 815. We were enjoying our meal (Cashew Nut Shrimp and Beef with Snow Peas) until our waitress asked us to hurry up because they were closing soon (signage said 930 and we were ushered out at 900). Another waitress stood over me as I was trying to calculate the tip. I walked out without tipping, and as much as I liked this place before, COVID portions were smaller than they were more expensive. Staff were pleasant until HALF AN HOUR before posted closing time. UPDATE - Dont know if it was the food, being rushed to finish our meal, or being so upset, but my daughter and I have been throwing up since we got home. WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING!!!

I smelled the food while i was getting my medications at the Walgreens nearby. Smelled amazing! So amazing, once done at Walgreens, I circled back around to see what was the food I was smelling. I went in and got a menu. I had limited funds waiting on payday the next day but after a long day, didn't want to cook. A server by name of Connie assisted me. I ordered the combination chow mein and went to car to wait for it to be ready. My daughter asked if she could have spring rolls. I had $3 cash and like $4 on card. I went in and asked could I order spring rolls with two forms of payment: Pay with cash and rest on card. Connie was not able to figure out how to do it. She first rolled her eyes and shamed me for needing to use two forms of payment. When she couldn't figure it out, I texted a friend to zelle me $5 so I could just pay with card. When she finished the transaction, Connie left, passing me and mumbling her disgust in her native language and I found that to be extremely poor customer service. Judge me when you are not in my face. Times are hard and I was simply trying to feed me and my child. So, based on her behavior alone, I give them a poor review and am contemplating never visiting their restaurant again. However, the food was delicious. So, I'm torn.

Take this review as you will. I opted to write the review in hopes that it is received as constructive criticism to treat everyone with respect despite circumstances. Times are hard. No one should judge another based on what they cannot do. You never know what a person is going through and it can happen to any one of us in a heartbeat. I didn't ask to be laid off for 18 months and finding it hard to find a job. I am not a stereotype. I'm a human struggling and fighting hard to overcome the turn of event circumstances that is currently my life (not by choice). Treat everyone with kindness regardless of any frustration it may inconvenience you with.

This is now our go to Chinese restaurant.
The food is authentic and very good, especially if you like it spicy. The dry chili chicken is excellent. Also, I've been searching for this soup that I used to get when I spent some time in Beijing, and I finally found it here. The beef in the Beef Noodle Soup Szechwan Style is a bit fatty for my personal taste, but that soup base is amazing. I love it. I'm looking forward to getting a Hot and Spicy pot the next time I dine there, everything we have had so far was excellent.

We’ve been customers for years. This evening, we ordered for delivery. When the order arrived it was missing the plum sauce container that accompanies moo shu chicken. It’s the best part of the dish. I called the restaurant, explained the situation. The woman who answered the phone had difficulty understanding the problem but finally told me to call Grub Hub, the delivery vendor. Seriously? When is the delivery service responsible for an order being complete? Her dismissiveness of my complaint was disrespectful to me and blaming the delivery vendor disrespectful to Grub Hub. Never. Again. We are done.

The food is ok. The service is just so so. This noon I ordered some spicy dish with sauce and did not finish. I ask the plastic container to take the remaining home. I told her it is better to use plastic container and sauce will come out if using paper box. The waitress did not listen and still used the paper box and the sauce went out. I paid more than 30 dollars on one dish and service did not get good service.i ordered the hot water and when this waitress came and refilled me cold water. I told her my cup is hot water. She did not listen and still add ice.

Szechwan North is a perfect place for Chinese food!!! The moment I walked in, the welcoming atmosphere set the stage for an enjoyable meal.

The Kung Pao Chicken and Mapo Tofu are absolute must-tries—packed with flavor and a little kick! The staff is always friendly and attentive, making sure your dining experience is top-notch. Whether you’re a spice lover or someone who prefers milder flavors, they’ve got something for everyone.

If you’re a fan of flavorful, spicy food, Szechwan North is a must-visit! The atmosphere is cozy, and the service is excellent. I’ll definitely be coming back to explore more of their delicious offerings!
