The food and service were outstanding. There is a huge gnat infestation and there is nothing that the restaurant can do to remedy this immediately. On the bright side there is no charge for the gnats, and the food is still full price.

It’s so disappointing because we really hoping this place gets it right. We came first week and service was an absolute mess.. They gave out food after an hour and forgot one. They brought appetizer almost 2 hours later as we were leaving. To be fair food is delicious.
I didn’t put review to give them another chance. Same thing few months later. The table behind us which was a neighbor asked to get their food in the box after hour eating (gave up to eat there). We got ours after an hour. And other people were complaining too. Again the food tastes great. The staff are super nice but the management/ timing is just unbearable. I really hope they can figure it out as it is better for their business and cash flow as well.

Parking is tough. You may have to drive around a bit. Bright and airy. Not loud as most patrons were sitting outside with ample outdoor seating. Like other restaurants along Patriot blvd, there's plenty of outdoor seating.
We visited a few weeks ago with a party of five (not the 90s TV primetime soap) but five friends who were supposed to go somewhere else and that place moved out all their tables. So, we made a quick call and there were tables available. We drive a few minutes into the Glen and find parking in a small lot nearby. The restaurant was quite empty for a Saturday night. They had ample seating inside and outside.
We were seated inside on the upper level (which is just two steps up from the main floor, so no drastic climb to a second story or anything).
They have a very nice menu with a lot of options (see picture). Three people in our group got the chicken parm. They don't tell you this at the restaurant, but three people can share one chicken parm. It is huge! It's the size of the plate itself! And it comes with a side (I think pasta). And it was delicious.
I ordered the Char-broiled Skirt Steak. It is wagyu beef - very tender and delicious. However, it's $14 more than the chicken parm and if you like that just as much, you get way more in the latter - which is a way better bang for your buck.
Lastly, and the 5th person in our party got the Greek Cobb salad, and again, it was huge, and fresh!
Once done and dessert was not ordered because we were all so full from our large meals. However, once we paid our bill, they didn't rush us out as they were open, and many other tables were available; they just let us sit and chat as long as we wanted. They are open until 11pm and didn't rush us out - which is not the norm these days. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming, and of course, the food is delicious! It's well worth the visit and I hope is open much longer than the predecessors in the same space.

Everything we ordered was delicious - the stacked eggplant appetizer, salmon, skirt steak, and turtle cheesecake. Our server was very nice, friendly, and attentive. We liked the atmosphere. This was our first time at Tavern on The Glen and we'll be back again!

I was going to email the restaurant directly vs leave a review but their contact us page doesn't work!
I am a local and want to see new places succeed!
My husband and I love checking out new places and figured we would finally try out this place. The reviews were mixed but we figured we would try anyway. We made a reservation for 5:15pm Sunday 9/22/24. We arrived at 5:05pm and nobody was in front to seat us. Finally when the bartender noticed us he went to the back to get someone. We ordered Cesar salad, eggplant stack, skirt steak and chicken Milanese. The egg plant and salad were fine. The main meals were horrible! The chicken was not editable. My husbands skirt steak came out cut up (who does that) and more then 50% was so rare he could not eat it.
Yes we should have spoken up at the time but we were the ONLY people in the restaurant and figured if the kitchen couldn't get 2 meals right while NO other customers were in the restaurant we were chalking it up to just a bad meals. We also were swatting fruit flies the entire meal. I could move on and not say anything but as I said we love eating local and want the new places to succeed. If you are not told the problem how can you fix it.

The staff was very friendly but the service was slow and the restaurant was around 20% full on a Friday night at 7:00. At least 15 minutes to get drinks. Nice pour of wine though. I ordered my skirt steak medium and it was medium rear, maroon in the middle and chewy. The only decent pieces were the ends. I also like to cut my own steak, it stays warmer that way. Next time I’ll know to ask them not to cut it up if there is next time. Finally, it’s way too bright. A restaurant should have warm, dim lighting. It’s the brightest restaurant I’ve ever been inside. It’s beautiful inside and dimmer would add to the ambiance.

Service and atmosphere was good, but the food was bad. Carbonara had half baked bacon and they used cream instead of traditional eggs with parmigiano and bacon fat. Fries were also not very warm anymore.

Tavern on The Glen is a hidden gem in The Glen Town Center! I recently had the pleasure of dining here, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. This family-owned restaurant offers generous portions, craft cocktails, and an atmosphere that makes you feel right at home.
I ordered the 14oz New York Strip, and it was cooked to perfection. The steak was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor—a true delight for any steak lover. Paired with their expertly crafted cocktails, it made for an unforgettable dining experience.
If you're in the area, Tavern on The Glen is a must-visit. Whether you're there for a casual meal or a special night out, this place has it all. I can't wait to return!

Loved the cheeseburger. The hummus trio was okay. I definitely preferred the olive feta hummus. My Kramer Cosmo was tasty but very sweet.

Such a classy yet upbeat, and fun atmosphere. The food and cocktails are outstanding. I recommend the 1820 burger; the pork belly jam adds the perfect touch to it to create a balanced savory-sweet combination. You should always save room for dessert here because they are fire! The carrot cake is a gift set from heaven above; absolutely divine!
