Great service and great people, unfortunately the food not so much. We tried the Birria at Greenwood Grill after trying some Birria tacos across the street and if you want good Birria tacos in Glenview, the Greenwood Grill would not be my recommendation. They are on the pricier side but the food quality doesn’t match the prices they are charging. Will have to come back to try their breakfast but if you want good tacos, Glenview has better options

Been meaning to stop in and finally had a craving for a good burrito. I was not disappointed! Great fillings in a lightly grilled tortilla, accomplished by delicious sauces to add some zing. It's served cut so you can enjoy it as a sandwich. And I saved room for a generous serving of flan that was amazing. It was firm and delicately textured rather than the overly smooth custard that I've experienced elsewhere and had a wonderful flavor that I really enjoyed.Do yourself a favor and try a visit. I'm going back, and I bet you will too

Pauline truly made our day! Her recommendations were not only amazing but her presence itself was just so uplifting. She added that special touch to our experience that made it truly memorable. We can't thank her enough for her exceptional service and genuine care. The rest of the staff and the owner were just as amazing and hospitable. We can't wait to go back!

Came here for a breakfast item. I usually come here and it's good a little overpriced but it's fine I got my usual order and I saw a little hair on it that was pitch black my hair is all dyed light ash brown so I knew it was not mine. I didn't eat any of it and went back inside and told them the older lady with the gray and black hair told me that it was my hair, and that it could not be her hair because her hair is white. She refunded me the money however, I just did not like her attitude she was being rude for no reason. You don't have to start blaming me and saying that it's not her fault I don't think I will be going back. The only thing about this place she should work on better customer service and not arguing back with the customer I paid 11 dollars I don't wanna be talked down too like I'm a child it's not right

I have been coming to Greenwood Grill for the last several years. Recently on my last visit March 2024 the tall cook was not wearing any gloves while handling the food. This is unsanitary and disgusting. I have no idea if this cook has washed his hands prior to handling the food I was prepared. Also the quality of the meat has changed (doesn't taste the same).

Came here to try this place out because it had great reviews but then when we saw them cooking, none of them were wearing gloves while handling our food. The cashier was handling cash and had a bandage on one of her fingers and we never saw them washing their hands until we brought it up to them. The cashier did apologize but the guy in the back was showing an attitude who also didn't use gloves. My wife is pregnant so I told them that she cannot be eating cross contaminated food but then the tall guy ordered the cashier to use the previously used ingredients on my new sandwich. I would not recommend going here for this reason and I read some yelp reviews on the business and other people had the same complaints yet they have not made any improvements. Wearing gloves and being sanitized is the bare minimum in order to operate a restaurant business and it is a health risk!!

This little diner packs a punch when it comes to authentic mexican flavors and menu items. Today we had the birria soup and I added birria meat (tender beef) to my eggs and it was fantastic. The flavors in this hearty soup are what wintery days call for. (it comes w/ chopped cilantro and onion on the side to add for texture and flavor) Pauline, our waitress, suggested tacos on the side to dip in the soup and she clearly knew what she was talking about. It was difficult to choose as there are several specialty items to choose from. There are also the family favorites of pancakes and bacon, etc for those wanting a traditional breakfast. I love the feel of this diner and the service is outstanding. Leave your heels at home, and come enjoy an affordable meal out.

Hubby and I celebrated buying a new dryer by getting some lunch here. From the outside it looked very small but it was larger once you get inside. Very neighborhood-y. Asked a staff member how long they have been around and I was told more than 30 years. Looks like they have quite a following with the locals. It was very busy! Hubby got the cheeseburger and I got the turkey club. I thought my turkey club was quite good and I would not hesitate to order it again. Tony said that he wished the cheeseburger came with more toppings like pickle but he said it was definitely a satisfactory cheeseburger. I will rate this place a very solid four. It's not fancy but it is a great option if you're just looking for a quick meal. Looked like they serve breakfast until 3pm and it is now open for dinner.

I love Greenwood Grill, and either dine-in or carry-out at least twice a week. The best chicken tinga tacos ANYWHERE. The cheese & potato flautas are fabulous! Fantastic homemade soups - so hearty a cup will fill you up. I'm gluten-free (allergy) and have never had a problem with the corn tortillas (tacos or flautas). Everyone who works there is friendly and kind, especially the chef. ♥️
