I have been going here for 30 years. I used to live blocks away and stop after school. Food was always awesome, their gyros are to die for and the tasziki sauce was incomparable. They have been written up in the Chicago Trib a couple times. The cheese fries are also fantastic and the breaded mushrooms are always perfect. The seven brothers used to own The Works and my most recent trip they were not there (understandable due to their age). The food is now just good. The gyro I had was nothing special and the tasziki sauce was missing something and a bit salty. Also the breaded mushrooms were gummy. Not The Works I remembered even from my last trip about 4 months ago. I moved pretty far away so this was a treat when I am in the area, but I may pass next time... Or I may just stop in and give them another try. Hard to think of The Works as slipping...

I ordered two gyros plates and they gave me few strips of gyros and one scoop of rice. I even ordered a side gyros just so it’ll be enough for the family and they gave a few more strips. I paid $50 for a meal for one. This place has truly gone super cheap, never again will I order from here again. Buyer beware

Finally got around to trying this place this past September after wandering around Old Orchard Mall and was actually quite pleased with the quality of food here.
I've been to dozens of Chicago/Greek grills all around the Chicago area and this taste is definitely one of the better ones I've been to in my lifetime.
The food overall is great but the Gyros are friggin' awesome! I've had Gyros from many many places and they absolutely rock here! Soft, moist and well seasoned; pretty much the melt in your mouth kind.
Great food at fair prices and friendly service in a clean/sanitized dining area, I'd definitely come back here to support this local business. Wish for continued success & prosperity for the owner(s).
