Our family of 10 kids and 10 adults has a tradition of the holiday lights at Chicago Botanic Garden followed by dinner at Valley Lodge in their cozy festive “outdoor” dining area. Caesar and his team provided excellent service and added to our fun. Everyone enjoyed great food for an all around wonderful family outing!

Food is very good and lots of menu choices. The prime rib special was a very generous portion and seasoned perfectly.

Chips were soggy. No crisp and mushy. Pulled pork sandwich was drenched in BBQ sauce and poorly shredded. Server was amazing and friendly.

Cute place, good food and service. Main dining room was crowded and loud but the patio area was perfect.

Did a prime rib take out. I received what I ordered at the time quoted. Unfortunately their food prep standards have slipped a bit. Meat had grizzle & fat, was tough to chew. Blue cheese dressing & baked potato were still tops.

Eric was our wait staff and he was excellent! Made our evening. Food always good, space on patio room lovely. Thanks for a great Fathers Day experience!

The food was delicious. The waiter was very good. One of our dinners wasn't cooked to the correct temperature. They fixed it immediately. The only issue is the noise level is too loud. #iraeats #iraeats1

Waitstaff is attentive but not overly so. Athenian style Whitefish is a favorite, but have not missed with any other menu items. We always have a great experience at Valley Lodge.

Love Valley Lodge. It's just nice enough to feel like a semi-elegant dinner out and just casual enough to feel like a cozy neighborhood tavern. The Porch is awesome, feels kind of northwoodsy. And, it's much quieter than the front/bar area. Food is always excellent.

Very good service, noise level high. Recommend the chicken kabob, but forget the onion soup. Request to sit by the fireplace. Cozy.

This was my first time at this restaurant and I was really looking forward to it. We were seated on the patio, which of course has a very different feel and experience than the main lodge. It was rather chilly inside, though was very cold outside. we did not order an appetizer, so can't speak to that. The house salad was robust with lettuce, but lacking anything else other than a cucumber. I ordered the white fish as my entrée and it was adequate. The green beans were good. Just overall a very average meal and experience. Not sure we will go back.

Popular neighborhood tavern/restaurant for locals, always busy. Food, service and prices above average and one of our favorite restaurants in glenview, except for the noise level. It is hard theses days to find a busy restaurant that isn't noisy but Valley Lodge is earsplitting, have to yell to speak to someone across your table. We would go twice as often if it wasn't so noisy, try to eat fast and get out of there as soon as possible. I used to be in the restaurant biz and owner and very high on my priority list for ambience was sound proofing, nobody seems to care any more.

Good value and portion size . The patio is bright and the fireplace adds warmth and ambience to the area. The service is attentive but not intrusive

Our server was conscientious and friendly. The food and drinks were very good and fairly priced. An enjoyable meal in a warm and inviting atmosphere!

This, one time, run down restaurant had a change in ownership many years ago. The new owners changed the menu and added a very nice new addition. The success of their efforts can be observed by the popularity it now enjoys. The food is good and fairly priced. The "bar scene," overflows with positive energy. It is probably best to avoid dining between 6:00p - 7:30p on Saturday in order to avoid being placed on a waiting list.
