there are a lot of nice moose Lodges in our area,but Alton Moose Lodge has an inviting and welcoming atmosphere and we have the most amazing volunteers stepping up to make that happen. They want me to pay member dues and I DON'T want to be a member. I have gone there probably 5 times as a guest with a member, but at my last visit they said I COULD NOT come back as a guest unless I pay member dues. I think that's RIDICULOUS, ESPECIALLY since I've ONLY been there a handful of times and we pay A LOT for my drinks. I DO NOT SEE A REASON WHY I WOULD NEED TO BECOME A MEMBER!!! the place is usually pretty dead, rarely has live music or karaoke, & they close very early several days a week, maybe that's why they want membership dues (even tho they offer outside guests at several events)!!!
