I've always loved the fish here. The fact that it's local caught is what I like. Last time we were there I noticed on their sign it said farm raised catfish etc. I thought that was strange. But I also noted a little sign that was hanging below the menu board, "blue cat fritters". That's what I ordered thinking they have to be local wild caught. I went next door to the market and took some pics. Products of Vietnam, China, and Argentina. Talked to owner Debbie as she was cutting up onions. I told her I ordered the blue cat assuming it was local wild caught which she confirmed. Told her my lil Princess wouldn't eat dirty fish caught out of the river she wanted the farm raised until she saw where it came from. Then we got our fish. I took one piece of mine and one of hers and split them gave her half of each and I tried a piece of both as well. Her not knowing which was which and she immediately declared the blue cat was the better of the two hands down no comparison. I realize they have to cater to their customers wants. But dang it. I come here for local fresh river fish not Vietnam, China, or other countries crap. This is America and a country boy will survive, even if I have to start catching my own fish again.

Haven’t been to this place in a while and stopped by a few days ago. We waited around an hour for food (which they were busy so I completely understand) but when I did get my food it seemed like the quality was bad. My catfish nuggets seemed like they were almost burnt. It didn’t seem like it was worth the wait.

So disappointing. Such great reviews and sure didn't come close to the hype. Maybe we hit them on a bad day?
Only 4 couples in front of us, which took 15 min. Once we placed our order, it took over 35 more minutes to come out!
Food wasn't even hot... and the portions were small. The fish bites (fritters) were had very little meat on them.
Prices are actually not that good when you build in the cost of the sides. The $2.50 cole slaw is in a tiny little plastic container, and wasn't good. I actually left hungry.
Sorry, I really hate leaving bad feedback, especially for small businesses but you guys really need to speed up your food prep... for only having like 3 items, food should be flying out.
In the past this was good place however now it is managed poorly. Rude and extremely slow staff have ruined our experience.

The fish here is way better than the other places in town for half the price, not to mention their portions are twice the size of the other places in town. it's a family business that's been around for decades! I really appreciate them keeping it very similar to how I remember it 35 years ago! It's a must when you visit Grafton
