We had a large group, 12 people getting together for lunch to celebrate a birthday and thoroughly enjoyed the food and drinks at Light the Lamp! They were able to accommodate our large group with a reservation and had food for everyone including meals the kids liked as well as vegan options, and of course local favorites that everyone enjoyed. Service was great and we definitely will return. Thanks Light the Lamp!
Was given the wrong order, had to go back and wait while mine was made. Terrible beef and patty melt. Sadly it would have been ok had they put two minutes worth of effort into it.
Nice people eps the one who serves us. good food n beer
We come to Light the Lamp often. My wife is currently pregnant, and we decided to get out of the house for dinner and trivia night (don't worry, she had water). With her nausea, the only food that has been sounding good lately is pasta, and the only pasta offering on the menu is a "kids tortellini" on the kids menu. Upon ordering it, we were told that they aren't allowed to serve food off the kids menu to adults. We explained that my wife has trouble getting much down these days, to which our polite waitress replied "I just don't want to get yelled at by my boss, sorry." Pretty disappointing, I mean who cares who orders what off of what section of the menu? We'll come back, I guess just in a few months or when we actually have someone in our family who is eligible to order the "kids tortellini".
We go here every week for trivia but only because of Jesse
Come here every week for Jessie and trivia. She’s the best.
This is not the first time of slow service, but it finally got me to write a review. We've been coming for years and we love the food and beer, and we love that its in our own town. But the service can be a mood-killer with long waits even on quiet midweek evenings (see pic).Tonight, for dinner, we had a simple order. 1 beer, 1 coke, flatbread, and burger. The beer came out quickly, and then more than 30 min later, no coke, no food. I walked over to the server he said it was "coming right out" - he didn't seem surprised or apologetic, or give any explanation. The coke and pizza comes out 10 min later and yet no burger. After *another* 10 min (my wife was halfway through her flatbread), my burger comes out.~ 50 min after ordering, I can eat, yet it was a quiet Wednesday night. No explanation, but the burger was comped.Last month we had a server who used to work at Chocolate Factory and she was amazing - a keeper (hear that management?)In summary, service can be slow and chaotic (but usually friendly). I want to like it, but it killed my good mood when expecting an enjoyable dinner out.
Pretty good food and beers. But not worth dealing with the poor service. We brought a group of people here for my birthday. We are polite and well mannered. However, the server constantly gave us attitude. She made me feel stupid for ordered a beer on the menu that was out, but instead of politely informing me, rudely stated "we don't have that". The server also liked to come up right behind you to drop off your drinks, which got annoying because all of the sudden a hand and a big beer is coming up right behind your face. Small things that make a service annoying.Getting the drinks too way longer than it should. Like 15 minutes to get all our beers and a cocktail took 40 minutes. We were some of the only people in the place too. No excuse.Honestly, I was embarrassed to have a birthday celebration here because of the service. Then they forgot to provide us with our to go beer as part of the special. For the cost, this place is such a dud. Get your service together and then it will be a different story.
Very loud restaurant. Our two sandwiches were just OK. The party melt had hardly any cheese and the bread was dry in the outside. The Italian beef sandwich was not like what you would expect. The steak is too thick and the homemade giardiniera is not anything special. The fries were really good as was the service.

Hostess was so rude and noticeably unhappy to be there. Rolled her eyes at us when we asked to sit at the high top tables. The server was nice and attentive. Food is subpar. Very small area inside so once the live band plays, it gets very loud and almost too much to handle.
We absolutely love coming here. Great place to have a couple beers (which are all amazing I’ve never had a beer here I didn’t like) or to come for a full on meal as their food is AMAZING. Our personal faves are the cheese curds, colossal pretzel, and the sweet potato fries.
Came in for dinner this week! The service was great and food delicious. Our server Jesse was awesome. Will definitely be coming back.
Was disappointed that some of their vegetarian options they had online were no longer available. Felt it was overpriced paying $21 for a impossible burger with sweet potato fries. None of grandkids ate their kids meals pizza and mac and cheese. Beer was good but again a little overpriced.
We just met some friends for beer. It was fun and the blue grass duo were good!
