It is clear they take pride in their work and in serving the community. Having a good old fashioned neighborhood butcher shop like this is a special treat. Tony’s Butcher Shop truly values its customers and the Grayslake community, and we are lucky to have it. Otherwise, everything else is top quality! “I went to barbecue productions for the first time yesterday and Annette was so sweet and welcoming. I had a lot of questions and she was very helpful didn’t answering them with a big smile on her face. She is the best, and the food was delicious!”

We used to come here often enough that the lovely waitress would recognize my boyfriend and ask if he wanted their (fabulous) Thai beer. Wonton soup is garnished with cilantro, green onions, and DELICIOUS fried garlic, had to order some to go! Fresh sushi that is rolled very well with beautiful presentation, delicious drunken noodles, perfect miso soup, and very fresh house salad with crisp red onions (I've never had such a nice house salad like this before, honestly!) Great portions and everything always the perfect temperature!”

“Dog n Suds in Grayslake is one of those places that truly deserves the support of the community.

Obviously everyone knows Dog n Suds for the classics—the root beer, hot dogs, burgers, fries and that old-school drive-in feel—but what really makes this place special to me is the people behind it.

Jason, the owner, is just an all-around great guy. He genuinely cares about his business, his customers, his employees, and most importantly, the community that supports him. As another local business owner, I know firsthand how difficult it is to run a restaurant, especially these days. It takes a tremendous amount of time, sacrifice, stress, and dedication that most people never see. Jason continues to show up, work hard, support the community, and do everything he can to keep a place like Dog n Suds going strong.

I’ve always had a tremendous amount of respect for business owners who don’t just operate IN a community, but actually become PART of that community, and Jason is absolutely one of those people. He supports other local businesses and organizations, gets involved, gives back, and genuinely wants to see Grayslake and the surrounding communities succeed.

And on top of all of that, Dog n Suds is just a fun place to go. There aren’t many places left that have the character and nostalgia that this place has. Grab some food, get a cold root beer, sit outside and enjoy it. It reminds you of what a locally owned restaurant is supposed to feel like.

If you haven’t been there in a while, go support them. Places like Dog n Suds don’t survive because of giant corporate marketing budgets—they survive because communities continue to show up and support good local people.

Jason, keep doing what you’re doing. You’ve built something special, and you should be proud of it.

“Panda Chinese Restaurant is hands down the best Chinese food in the area. Everything tastes incredibly fresh and perfectly cooked. You can tell they take real pride in the quality of their ingredients and preparation.

The crab rangoons are absolutely phenomenal. Honestly the best I’ve ever had. They are perfectly crispy on the outside with a creamy, flavorful filling that’s just amazing. I could eat a whole order of them by myself.

Every dish we tried was delicious, hot, and full of flavor. It’s rare to find a place where everything on the table impresses you, but Panda absolutely delivers.

If you’re looking for fresh, delicious Chinese food and great portions, this is the place to go. Easily my favorite Chinese restaurant around. Highly recommend!”
