“Went in kinda late to meet up with some friends and it was really chill. Played some pool, met the owner who was so friendly and remembered my name after just once of me telling him. Would love to go back ”
“Pizza was horrible! Undercooked top with a burnt prepackaged bottom. Apps were cold and just not good( dried out and just low end) Drinks were top notch and our server was incredible! Love going here but the kitchen lacks the luster the bar has. It's unfortunate as a few years ago it was consistently good but now not much.”
“Do you want to have an authentic Korean food experience? Try here at CM Chicken!! This is our favorite restaurant here in Waukegan. Food is great! Service is one of a kind!”
“It’s a great restaurant with very good and tasty food. The ambience, decoration, seats, and tables gives you feeling of piece. The owner looks out for customer's needs. He even gave us complimentary Bakalavas.”
“This places is amazing! Everything I have tried so far is delicious. The staff is so friendly and make you feel so welcomed. I will definitely be going back again and again. Love this place. ?”
“Just incredible. Steaks were perfect, mashed potatoes are super tasty, drinks were well made. Loved the atmosphere too. My favorite place in the area. Pricey but completely worth it.”
“We are from WI and found Big Ed's because it was close to the hotel we stayed at. Unfortunately they we out of a few favorites but we found others and all 3 meals were outstanding. I had a full rack of ribs which were amazing and the wings were just as good. Service was great and super friendly...every employee was helpful and had smiles on their faces. Love the mom and pop local family business and already planning trips back to try the favorites they were out of as well as past the word on to everyone we know that loves BBQ. Well worth the hour drive!”
“Impeccable. Fantastic. Bussin'.You haven't had fried chicken like the Korean Fried Chicken served here. It definitely rivals American Southern Style. The food is so good we ordered some to go right after our meal. A great choice for Sunday night football or a guys night in gaming. Ladies, I don't know what y'all do.I got the Red Hot Pepper Chicken. The heat slowly builds while you chew, but is mellowed by a light sweetness at the beginning of every bite, making you want more.My girl got the Lemon Green Onion. The touch of citrus went really well with the mellow sweetness of the sauce leaving an almost fresh taste to a fried dish.Caring, enthusiastic and energetic Owner followed by kind and attentive wait staff.Seriously, homie is all over the place (in a good way). Behind the counter and at the table face to face; his interaction with us was comical and heartwarming. He went through the whole menu (large selection) and explained the varieties of fried chicken, recommended sauces, and alternative dishes if chicken ain't for you, nerds.Vegetarian options: I think it's hilarious to recommend a fried chicken restaurant to vegetarians. So yes, please come here. There are some options for y'all but not a lot. Mostly potato related items, cheese dishes if your diet allows it and Korean pancakes (savory). Seafood?Sincerely, good luck.Parking: It's a ducking mall dude. There is plenty of parking. To be closest, go off of Hawthorn Ctr. Northern side of mall.Google maps itKid-friendliness: Very understanding and patient staff to otherwise undeserving patrons.Cute kid running around, wrong place to do it though. Unbothered parents, specifically an entitled mom who says "oh, he's fine" until he slips and bust his head or breaks the expensive ? service robot they have. This lady had the huevos ? to give the dude attitude when he points out the kid chasing down Mr. Roboto and then is at the shop exit. She said "maybe we'll just leave" ?Bro, this is not "your village", it's a fried chicken chateau ?, raise your damn kids.Wheelchair accessibility: Yurrr. Y'all can roll up easy once inside. They can move some chairs aside. I got no smoke for y'all, I don't wanna get cancelled. But we can all agree we don't like vegetarians.I'm just kidding, grazers.”
“We tried this place for the first time. We needed a sourdough baguette. We also picked up pastries and drinks there. Everything was very good. The almond croissant was delicious.”
“"I had a wonderful dining experience at Everett Farm Food! The food was amazing, with fresh, flavorful ingredients. The service was excellent, with fast and attentive waitstaff. I highly recommend this restaurant for a great meal!"”
“Every time I am in the area, I search out Inovasi for lunch or dinner. The selections are great and the food delicious. I always eat in the bar area - great views and fun atmosphere. I am a fan of the Shrimp and Grits.”
“Such an amazing fusion of flavors! I cannot recommend Feather Glass Wine Bar & Eatery enough! Absolutely loved every flavor, over two appetizers and entrees. Paired with excellent recommendations from the owner, this is an experience not to be missed!DO get the desert, the house made blackberry sauce goes best on everything. We loved it and you will too!The ambiance is great with knowledgeable and courteous staff, and positive/upbeat energy throughout. We will keep going back until we've tried everything and then keep coming back for our favorites!”
“My family visited back in January. I live several states away. It was so good, I am looking forward to revisiting to enjoy another incredible meal next time I’m in town!”
“Friendly owners and staff. Cozy atmosphere inside. Food is always consistently good in our experiences. Our favorites are the chicken salad sandwiches and bread pudding.”
“First time at Tonality. Early dinner. Molly was our server and had 2 excellent reco's. For me it was the Gnocchi which was a plate cleaner. The combo of gnocchi with mushroom and asparagus was smart. The sauce was lemony and tasted a bit like vinegar which I liked. My wife had the pork Schnitzel with spatzel. The breading was dark and tasty. The portion was huge. She loved it. I had a tasty Amber Ale with dinner. Cool brewery atmosphere in an open space. Highly recommend.”
“Burts is the real deal. I lived in Chicago for the last 25 yrs and have found a spot that rivals the best spots Chicago has to offer. The Yummy, hands down best sandwich I've ever had. Go see Ralph and find out for yourself.”
“After growing up within the Latino community, eating authentic Mexican dishes, and learning how to cook within that community, I'm pretty particular about the Mexican food establishments I give my hard-earned cash to, because I know what good Mexican food is and it is often not what you get...Cinco Hermanos gets my money happily! As such, I often have certain requests that may not be on a menu, but I know are doable, based on my knowledge of Mexican cuisine. Not only do they happily receive my request during my phone order, the request is always executed correctly and to my liking. My husband doesn't like certain things in his burrito, and when ordering from other places, those things were either in there, or replaced with other "fillers." He orders the same exact thing every time, so he has often been disappointed...and his requests are easy like no lettuce and no rice inside the burrito...no biggie, right? The first time we ordered the way my hubby likes his burrito, from Cinco Hermanos, not only did they get the order right, they added some extra meat in the burrito as the "filler." That's customer service and attention to detail right there!I love that their tacos ARE NOT GREASY!! We love tacos al pastor, but they are often bathing in grease, which is actually just laziness on the cook's part...I know, because I make them at home, often. I usually don't like to order carryout tacos as a result, because they arrive home soggy and greasy...NOT the experience I've had at Cinco Hermanos! The tortillas rarely have any extra grease on them and the meat is the same. Any tacos I've ever ordered from them arrive home intact, non-soggy, and as delicious as if they were just prepared in my own kitchen!I also really enjoy their green salsa...it tastes like homemade. You can tell that they used fresh ingredients and that it was made in smaller batches. It's hard to explain, but trust me when I say it is one of the best green salsas I've ever had, including some homemade authentic versions. It's a little warmer than most, so be prepared for that, but it is crave-able!If you're looking for a stellar caldo de res, this is the place! Not only did it taste like the thousands of caldo's I've enjoyed in Mexican kitchens over my lifetime, it was served the way you'd be served in said kitchen...plenty of meat and veggies in that delicious broth! My typical experience ordering caldo to-go, is a container with a lot of broth, one or two small pieces of meat, one small carrot, more cabbage than anything, and half a potato...not even enough meat to make a decent taco to eat with the broth. I ordered this one weekend I was sick, and let me tell you, it hit ALL the right spots! Rich broth with an abundance of meat and veggies...exactly the way it would be served in my home kitchen. I was floored when I opened the container and saw it, and then more pleasantly surprised when I tasted it...perfection! Just know that it's only available on weekends and totally worth the wait! Oh, and one of my requests, LOTS of limes, was absolutely fulfilled, happily. Hats off to this place for great customer service!I've not had one thing on the menu that has displeased me, nor has my husband. Not one.Not only is the food delicious, the service is impeccable. I have certain requests when I order carryout, not excessive by any means, just certain things we prefer, like only green salsa and no plastic utensils necessary. At other places we've ordered, 8 out of 10 times, there's a bunch of red salsa in the bag - along with the green - and a bunch of plastic forks that end up in our garbage can. EVERY SINGLE TIME we order from Cinco Hermanos, the instructions are followed to a T, which tells me that they're good business people and not throwing their money in our garbage can. As a business person, I find that smart, admirable, and a likely indicator of how they run their business on every level. Here's a good "tell" if a Mexican restaurant ”
“Absolutely love this place! I had no idea it was 100% Gluten Free, when searching for Gluten-free restaurants, this one doesn’t show up. But because it’s entirely GF, it would be awesome to add this to the Google Business account so it appears on searches.Vegetarian options: Tons of delicious veggie options.Dietary restrictions: 100% Gluten Free, options for every diet.Kid-friendliness: Great food that kids love!”
“Love the restaurant and the food, however was there on a Saturday night at the peak dinner hour and it.wasn't nice. The wait staff were almost running up and down the aisle making it feel very chaotic . Felt rushed during our meal and the large groups around us were very loud. We couldn't hear each other talk. I'm sad to think such a nice restaurant turned out to be a big disappointment.I realize it was a very busy evening but it was not a good evening”
“Far better than your average greasy food taquiria. The owner was incredibly nice and helpful. I ordered an El pastor taco. I usually do flour tortillas instead of corn but since they make the latter in house chose that instead. 100% the correct decision. Never had a corn tortilla so fresh and tasty. The pork wasn't greasy and had superior flavor. On a whim also ordered the Korean taco with bulgogi spices and cabbage slaw. AMAZING flavor and texture. Got a carne asada burrito for my wife. You can tell they use superior Angus beef..it was top Notch in flavor and consistency.HIGHLY recommend this eatery. Will be back whenever I'm in the area.Parking: Easy.”
“The food, atmosphere, and customer service are phenomenal. I am incredibly excited to keep coming back. This is a new favorite!Vegetarian options: There are veggie and Paneer options which are a breath of fresh air and add options.”
“This restaurant/bar boasts a charming ambiance and an eclectic menu. The entire staff was delightful, and our server was particularly kind. The Bloody Marys were spot-on. The food was delicious and served in generous portions. Leaving room for dessert was a great decision, as we absolutely loved the Huckleberry Pie.”
“It's a very nice little place. We felt welcome for our party of 8. The carne asada fries are bomb. Also their mixed drinks have a lot to cater to your taste. I'm a fan of mezcal and they had plenty here. Also tried their smash burger and had a few 3 floyd beers. Staff was always attentive and friendly. I'd come here again to hangout for the reasonably priced menu and location.”
“Incredible authentic Philly cheesesteaks. Beyond that, the service is awesome too - the owner/staff are so friendly and attentive. This has quickly become one of my go-to spots. 10/10 would recommend.”
“Great vibe, good people, amazing Baristas. Drinks are always consistent and delicious! Plus, you are supporting local small businesses. Check them out for yourself. You won’t be disappointed.”
“Absolutely wonderful!!! It was 10:30 on Thursday place was packed like it was Sunday after church. Tonya our waitress was on point. We had 4 people so we split up on 2 tables. The pancakes awesome! The biscuits and gravy best ever. I could have eaten just gravy. It was that good!!”
“This is a really special place and so needed in this area. We were instantly hooked after the first visit a week ago and couldn't wait to return today. We've had about 5 different menu items and have loved the taste and freshness. Plus the staff is incredibly kind!”
“I generally don’t write reviews. Been going here for years. Today my light went out. I knew it was coming. Alex let me borrow a light. Alex and Mason routinely go out of their way to help their customers.”
“Been here several times always fresh and consistent portions. If you're a fan of sushi and Japanese style appetizers but looking for a Subway restaurant style of informal dining ...a quick bite to eat, without all the overhead in service and prices, then I suggest trying this place. My favorite is the deluxe salmon bowl with the black rice. The fish is very fresh and I like the crab and seaweed salad. This has a very savory without being overpowering a true umami kind of tasting food. No overkill on making it hot or spicy. The meals include complimentary self-serving of miso soup. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get. In my opinion it's a great sushi bowl at Subway prices.”
“We visit this bar for the second time with our family. The place is clean and the service super good. Their prices are great. I will recommend this place to anyone. The bartender was nice and super fast.”
