I ordered through Grub Hub so I cannot comment on the service or atmosphere but the food was absolutely horrible. I ordered the beef teriyaki sticks and house lo mein. The beef teriyaki sticks had zero taste of teriyaki and was chewy and not reminiscent of beef. The lo mein was made with skinny ramen type noodles and there was absolutely zero flavor. The noodles were white and tasteless. Easily the worst meal I’ve ever had. It is obvious that this establishment does not care for the customers with this very low quality meal. I am truly disappointed and dissatisfied. Never again

This is my FAVORITE Chinese food restaurant. Consistently delicious.
Vegetarian options: My son is vegetarian and loves the orange tofu dish. It's like orange chicken but with Tofu instead.
My true experience of this place, first and only time going here.
I called Tang's Christmas day, right when they opened. I placed my order at 12:30pm for 5pm pickup to avoid any headaches. I arrived at 5pm. My order was still taped to their little checkout window on the left hand side. My $100+ order for my party had never been entered or made.
I was given some lame excuse as to what happened and was asked to pay. Once I paid, I was told to wait. No discount, no sorry , no nothing. Just a "were behind and no eta for your food".... the customer service was absolutely horrible. I ended up getting my order at 5:45pm.
Funny part is I was told to bring cash when I made the order! No joke, the lady on phone TOLD ME she wanted cash. The food was bad. Just like everyone else reviewed, the fried rice tasted brutal. The protein (chicken, beef, pork) is of poor quality. Very chewy texture with little to no flavor. It was also obvious my order was rushed and made on the fly. The biggest waste of over $100. I will not be going back here and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone after the horrible experience I had.
Lesson learned I guess, sticking to Hong Kong Chop Suey in Mundelein... they treat you nicely and run a good business.
My favorite local Chinese restaurant I love their Chop Suey and Kow. Their food reminds me of Chinatown. yes, it’s that good. Especially, the fried rice. It’s really good. They are currently just takeout, but that’s OK. I have been eating here for decades, and their food is very consistent,… consistently good! Eggrolls are delicious too. they surprise me every once in a while and give me a free egg drop soup which has become one of my favorites. Portions are always overflowing. I highly recommend this place.

Has Tang's changed owners? It has been our favorite for many years, but tonight's order was very disappointing. The food was fresh, however the dishes ordered completely lacked any flavor. That is quite unusual. We ordered Beef Chow Mein, Tangs special bean curd and egg foo young. ALL the sauces were FLAVORLESS. I am very sad :(

Was kind of bummed because my beef fried rice didn’t have any veggies in it like advertised. Ordered takeout and everything else was alright. Prices ok and portions pretty good.

The food is so awesome. We no loner live in the area. So it’s a shame you can no longer eat inside the restaurant, when we come back to visit. So we ordered 6 beef fried rice meals to go and we packed it in a cooler to take back to our home. For various family members to enjoy.
We ordered vegetable egg rolls and they were fine. We ordered Beef Two Delights and the beef was awful. The texture was gelatinous, chewy, unappealing. We also ordered chicken broccoli. The broccoli and sauce were fine, but again the meat (chicken) tasted like bad meat. The texture varied from "normal" to gelatinous, like the beef. We threw it all out and don't plan to return.
