Food was so good burger and fries are now my favorite.Went here the first time and messed up with my order , went back cause my food they gave me are not complete, the guy helped me and gave me my right order and didn’t charge me and he’s so nice and he apologized. We went back again yesterday and we order ice cream and cheese curds now my daughter is addicted to it. Thank you This is better place than mcdo

I LOVE THE FREEZE! The Freeze has been the go-to ice cream shop for Grayslake residents since it was created. The Freeze offers both meals and of course all types of frozen dessert. Family owned since its beginning, The Freeze was originally part of Tastee-Freez, but when it went under ownership change, it was rebranded to The Freeze, emphasizing its hometown legacy. It also has an awesome mural that was painted by Grayslake Central students. 10/10 experience EVERY TIME!

I've been frequenting this place since it was called "Dawn's Tastee Freeze" back in the 90's. I grew up with this, and my dad did before me.
The ice cream is the best, the service is the best. The staff, while many are often new year to year, are always very kind.
The location is perfect right in the heart of downtown Grayslake.
Within the last few years we've also been buying the hot food from here as well, and it's amazing, especially the burgers & fries.
