Marcoot was a fantastic stop. Long time family business with people who clearly cared about the business and the customers. We enjoyed visiting the calf barn and the milking parlor. They offered samples of cheese and ice cream so that we could decide what we wanted. We bought several varieties of cheese, and they were all great-- more what you would expect to find in Wisconsin than in the middle of IL. They had a handful of flavors of ice cream which were all delicious. The texture of the ice cream was perfect. The price felt fair for both the cheese and ice cream. We are from GA, so we won't be there very often, but we would be regular shoppers if we lived close. Great job, Marcoot!

If you come here, you gotta try the home made ice cream. I never had home made ice cream until I came here and it was the best I ever had! You can pet the calfs in the calf barn and see how they milk the dairy cows. The staff i got to meet were friendly and welcoming. Really enjoyed my visit.

Absolutely loved visiting this place, cheese and ice cream is worth the visit. Billie was the best at making our experience something to remember, she provided us the info about the farm and product to make it easier to choose.

Just a short drive from St. Louis! Delicious ice cream, great selection of cheeses, and Jersey/Wagyu beef cuts (frozen) are available for sale. The Wagyu sirloin was delicious, and we also really enjoyed the Wagyu burgers.

Awesome little farm that deals with about 75 cows. The milk is used for different kinds of cheese and ice cream. Great place for self-guided tours and school field trips.

Take your family out, get some ice cream, say hi to the cows, and get some high quality meats.

It's a wee bit of a drive, once you get the correct Google map directions. But it's fun to walk into the calfs barn and see the youngsters. The sign says they can be pet, however I chose not to do so. We looked in the automation building. The cattle weren't actively using it so we just read the wall signage. We then went into the store. Purchased cheese and some ice cream. They sell Marcoot tshirts, patches, beef tallow, soaps & a few other things I just glanced past. The Garlic Herb Cheese Curds are delicious. Their ice cream, in cups, is yummy too. They close at 3pm.
