Do you want farm that down home farm fresh milk/ice cream that has very friendly staff who let us sample the wonderful differentflavorsthey make in house. The milk to the ice cream was fantastic! They even recommend the honey lavender with the lemon curd swirl which is my new addiction!
Family friendly local dairy products made with love and hard work please give them a try!
Traveling 70, at exit 45. After you stop at Loves for gas, you need to drive up 127 about a mile to the Milk House.
You can't find a fresher glass of milk! They process the milk on site.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The milk flavors are so delicious!!!
And the ice cream? A great variety of fun, delicious flavors.
If we didn't have a long drive ahead we would have bought a lot more.
We randomly found this place when stopping for gas. The ice cream is so creamy good! We had the double chocolate brownie and the lemon curd. I also highly recommend the chocolate milk! It’s worth a stop!
It's pretty inside. The employee did her own thing at the register as we browsed at the items for sale for several minutes. There really wasn't anything that we found tempting to purchase, so we left. We had wondered about what all they had in the store and what it was all about. If the employee had maybe talked to us about some of the products offered, we might have been more inclined to make a purchase.
This is the most charming dairy store, a massive space for this Illinois farm selling a handful of cheeses and a stunning array of milk products and flavors. They even have a smaller but roomy section solely designated for serving up delicious scoops of ice cream.
The only disappointment is that while The Milk House statistically ranks as the #17 ice cream shop in the U.S., and the charm is absolutely there, the ice cream itself is pretty unimpressive. The quality of the product is good, but the ice cream flavoring itself leaves much to be desired. Don't let that stop you from coming in, though. It's a worthy experience just off the interstate for traveling families.
Cheese curds. Fresh milk. Friendly people b
An amazing place to buy fresh, flavored, pasteurized milk with a little ice cream shop inside with fresh, flavored ice creams.
The milk house is a special place. It’s where Rolling Lawns dairy farm bottles their ultra fresh milk. You can also get some of their amazing ice cream. Rolling Lawns has been a family run dairy for over 100 years.
