Im surprised this place has solid reviews. Maybe I came on a bad day. The sushi was decent. The edamame was not fresh. Worst of all, the chicken skewer tasted like old food. The texture was rubbery with a ton of sauce on it. Very disappointed

I have visited this restaurant several times over the last several years, and returned this past weekend. It has been awhile since we had visited and were appalled by the change in atmosphere and ambiance (tables, lighting, noise, table spacing, seating). It felt like a cafeteria restaurant. There were stale fluorescent lights, multiple TVs with different channels on very loud, couldn't even describe what was on the TVs. The host sat us and disappeared. Only saw 3 staff, two chefs and the one who seated us. We were seated very close to another table of 2 in which the conversation was very loud. Husband and I left within 10min of seating due to lack of attention from staff and the awful atmosphere. The staff didn't even notice we left as they were gathered in a corner looking away from the very busy restaurant. If you're looking for local Sushi, go to Sushi Thai in Libertyville at 137/Rt 21- the service and quality of food (whether sushi or Thai) is fantastic with a very large menu!

Forgot to take a picture of my food. I went in with my dad and sister for lunch. The experience was very lovely and the food was really delicious. We all grabbed the salmon bento box for lunch and it came with a soup and salad. Really tasty! Definitely recommend their lunch menu! Worth it.

Me and my family went there wanting sushi and got that and great service! It was so good we were licking our plates, 10/10 recommend to every sushi lover! P.S. the Rainbow Dragon was the best thing I have had this year.

First of all, when people come in, the staff should ask where they want to sit—like at the bar or at a table. But when we arrived, the staff didn’t ask us anything. After we were seated, other people came in and the staff treated them differently—more politely—and asked where they wanted to sit. It felt like we were being treated rudely. We ordered ramen, one sushi roll, and takoyaki. However, the server didn’t seem to hear us order the takoyaki and later asked if we still wanted it. When it finally arrived, all of the pieces looked burnt.
The ramen was okay, but not great—I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. We only ordered one sushi roll because I was really craving sushi, and we chose the Crazy Roll, which is supposed to have spicy mayo on top. But when we got it, there was barely any sauce—just a small dot of spicy mayo. It’s definitely not worth $18. On top of that, some of the pieces were falling apart. Honestly, I could make better sushi myself. I’ve tried a lot of sushi places, and this was by far the worst.

Since we walk in they were rude. Floors were super sticky. Man that was handling our food blew his nose without washing his hands until we complained about it. He seemed mad that we pointed it out. Our waitress was trying to convince us that it wasn’t an issue as he would eventually put cloves on. Rice had no flavor. He messed up our order for complaining about his dirtiness. Disgusting. Very disturbing attitude, specially when handling food. Hopefully no one gets sick from this place! 🤢🤮

I’m actually shook this place is ranked so high. The floors were sticky and so were the tables. My Spicy Miso ramen tasted like a maruchan pack. My wife liked her crunchy roll and the gyoza were fine but we will definitely not be coming back. Not worth it.
