Had a lovely sushi dinner tonight. The playboy roll and hamachi rolls are out of this world! I have also done take out of their ramen in the past, also very tasty! Weather to dine in or take out, you can’t go wrong with AHA Sushi!

I came here for lunch and wow! This place is delicious! I got the big mama roll and I was thoroughly impressed. It was absolutely mouthwatering and really worth the money! We also had great service and it's a cool little restaurant. I look forward to coming here again! Highly recommend!

I’ve been a customer for a few years now. Both dine in and take out. The last two times I’ve been disappointed with the quality of the food, but this time I was disappointed with the cleanliness. I found a long piece of hair in one of the sushi’s I ordered.
I feel disgusted that I ate a few pieces before finding the hair. And it was funny because this time the sushi was actually better than the last two times I ordered.
And with the increases in prices I really never see myself coming back. I loved this place for such a long time and even recommended others to give it a try. Now AHA won’t even cross my mind when people ask me for a good sushi place. Overall a very disheartening experience and I don’t recommend eating here!

I hadn't been to AHA in a long time and missed the memo that it has new ownership. Walking in, floors were a bit dirty. Service was slow, half our food was only slightly warm. Fried rice looked like it was made with Aldis frozen vegetables and frozen shrimp. We'd gladly pay for quality food but unfortunately this wasn't it.

Definitely recommend this spot! My sister and I dined in here. We had the spicy scallop roll, the Black Widow roll, salmon nigiri, and shrimp fried rice.
The nigiri is fresh and well portioned. The black widow roll is great, I would say it's a spicy scallop roll with an inclusion of eel and avocado on top. I wasn't a big fan of the shrimp fried rice, but my sister loved it.
Our server, Dominick, was attentive and witty. He had great recommendations for us about rolls to order. The ambience is very warm and cozy.
This restaurant was a pleasant surprise in the fast food cesspool that is Gurnee, IL. Make sure to stop by, reader.

Ordered out, and I got their bulgogi bento and it was very tasty! The sushi… meh. You can find better in the area, but it’s here in a pinch. I got the spicy tuna roll with my bento box and it was lackluster. However the bulgogi was amazing! For a lunch bento, it was surely stuffed, so you get what you pay for!

After the most recent price hike this place isn't worth it. Not that long ago a Philadelphia Roll was $6 now it's $8.50. And all the special rolls have risen $3 in price in just a few years. I will not be returning until these prices are LOWERED. Inflation has been cooling so there is absolutely ZERO reason for yet another price hike

Saw the reviews and decided to stop in during the visit to the area. WOW! The restaurant is nothing fancy but the food and the service was SPECTACULAR!!! It's the best sushi we've ever had nationwide, zero question. The flavor, the presentation, everything. We'll be dreaming of this place for a long time as we continue to move around the country.
We recommend the Nigiri and Sashimi chef's choice options as well as the vegetable tempura (see the pics). We were so glad we made these choices. Also, their green tea was actually fresh and tasteful. Everything was perfect and we were stuffed!
