Bakers Square Restaurant & Bakery

This restaurant has gone down hill very fast….I use to love it, but now that there is new management, it lacks service, cleanliness inside and out, some seats are ripped, tables dirty, and always out of certain items on the menu. Third time did it for me… I’ll have to find another restaurant with strawberry crepes. I know restaurants are not doing so well, but they have to make changes soon. Sad!

I had a Marble Rye Rueben with seasoned fries it was very good. My wife had strawberry crepes with bacon, sausage and hash bronws . Her crepes were cold and her sausage was as well. Their pies looked amazing I wanted to buy one but I was in a hurry.

Food is usually great and the pies used to be the best!! I really hate to report, I ordered the French Silk Pie... It is not the original French Silk Pie most of us love at Bakers Square! The pie tasted like they put chocolate pudding between the pie shells. The food is still pretty good.PLEASE FIX YOUR PIE PROBLEM!!!! I been a fan of these pies since the original Pop and Fresh!

Great food , service was excellent even though they were short handed they made the best of it and things were perfect

French Silk pie was awful. It was more like mediocre chocolate flavored pudding in a pie crust. Complete disappointment, poor poor excuse for a French Silk pie.

Can't say anything bad, dined in! No mask requirement, even though we wore our masks as we are vaccinated. We had the bakers square omelets, my wife had the fresh fruit and pancake and I had toast and hash browns. We each had coffee and water. Everything was cooked appropriately, flavorful, good to look at, and the waitress was phenomenal. Let's face it, dining has changed after covid, and probably will never be back to what it was before. I would highly recommend this place for breakfast.

The water tasted bitter and so did the fries. The mashed potatoes were even worse, they didn't even taste like real potato. The atmosphere was also pretty bad. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because the servers were very nice and the food was brought out pretty fast. Also, the works burger was decent. The cornbread was the best menu item.

Very good food and pie. Service was good. Some folks just need to chill. Have a little patience with your servers. They are doing their best with a shortage of staff. BSq staff keep up the good work.

Good food, good service. Totally disappointed to hear you are no longer serving Key Lime pie .. my favorite. Half the reason I come there is the pie ! One sad customer..

Smaller menu than I remember. Pot roast was tasty. Still have free pie Wednesday.

One if my favorite lunch places, the food never disappoints. And the staff are always friendly.

The food was spot on! ordered the ultimate skillet and eggs over easy and strawberry rhubarb pie togo. i was really impressed with the food as the veggies in my skillet were fresh and still crunchy not soggy and the breakfast potatoes were firm in the right spots. the sausage was delicious and greasy! the bacon was thin but was not over done! crsipy in the right spots with the right squishiness to it! also has a smoky sweet apple flavor. the strawberry rhubarb pie was tart and sweet and the crust was crunchy all just the way i like it! BONUS HERE! free pie Wednesdays! who knew? guess not me! as for the 4 stars, well We had a slight delay in service but we learned from the manager that moat of the employees are new and some never served before. there will be a lag in service but the food really made up for it. The manager was really nice and attentive. i like being checked on by management as we all know sometimes or most times management is hiding. This manager was in the thick of it all hands on. thank you and i hope they are able to keep the chefs. we will be back ya'll!

Meal was okay, but we got rushed out of there (Gurnee location) because we came in 1/2 hour before closing. Not very nice ?
