The general manager, Marko, welcomed us into the restaurant even though they weren’t officially open yet. That alone says so much about the level of hospitality here. He was incredibly kind, friendly, and accommodating, and made us feel welcome right away.
The food is absolutely phenomenal! My personal favorite is the Chicken and Avocado protein bowl—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. My son, of course, can’t get enough of the bacon cheeseburger.
Everything we tried was delicious, and the whole experience was wonderful. We will definitely be coming again!

I go through the drive-thru of Buona in Gurnee frequently because it is right by my grandson's house. I have the app, which has some really good deals. I have never had an issue until yesterday. And it wasn't a huge issue, but it bothered me. I ordered on the app. I pulled into the drive-thru 10 minutes later and there was a car at the menu and speaker on the left so I went to the one on the right. The person in the car was ordering, and the automatic voice came on right when I pulled up. So I waited patiently. The other car drove away up to the window to get their food. So I waited for the employee to come on to the intercom and take my order from the second lane. I waited almost 10 minutes, and nobody came on the intercom to ask me if they could help me. So I went around the building and went up to the Drive-Thru Lane that is closest to the building and the employee came on within one minute to take my order. Which I gave them and then went to the window to pick up. I had never ordered the pizza before, but there was the deal on the app for 6.99 and it was gluten free! So I picked up my pizza and drove around to the other side of the building to make sure it was correct. I opened up the box and was absolutely shocked at how tiny the pizza was! It could not have been bigger than my hand! It was half the size of the box! Is that normally the size of the pizza? If so, I won't be making that mistake again! The taste was good. But not good value for the money at all! Even at $6.99! Maybe 3.99 for that pizza on the app.... It was Ridiculous! As a side note, the employees are always really polite and very good. And professional. The cheese fries totally rock! Best cheese fries on the market! The cannolis, Italian beef, sausage, and milkshakes are really good!. But the tiny pizza is laughable at that price! I expect to see a viral meme going around someday about the other pizza, poking fun at the size for the price. Biggest rip off in town.

Just avoid the cheeseburgers all together. They are so bad. The cheese is nasty. I literally have to use a crap ton of ketchup so I dont taste the weirdness of the burger. Everything else you should be fine though.
