I think for the price, this place is good for a nice date. The food is always solid and the atmosphere is great. I’ve had the medallions several times and it’s one of the better things on the menu. The in house moscato is excellent.

Surf and turf was delicious albeit it left me wanting as the steak portion was rather small. Lots of rich white women yapping about nothing loudly in the front which is not the establishments fault. Just be ready to hear some dumb stuff waiting for a table.

I absolutely adore this restaurant and the food is always fantastic! The service was great overall, but I do have to mention that the host at the front desk during my visit was quite rude and had an unpleasant attitude. It seemed like she wasn’t happy to be there or just didn’t enjoy her job. I wish I had caught her name, but it definitely stood out as a negative part of the experience.

Just overall bad. The wait to be seated with a reservation is pathetic. Table service embarrassing. They paid for the table next to me whole meal. And completely ignored others. They just can't and don't want to do to better. They dont care with the bad reviews because they will still cash in on weekends. But save your money go else where.

Cooper’s Hawk in Gurnee is a great spot for a nice meal and quality wine. The atmosphere is upscale yet comfortable, making it a great place for a date night or dinner with friends and family. The food is well-prepared with a good variety of options, and the wine selection is excellent, especially if you enjoy trying different blends. Service is generally attentive, though it can be a bit slow during peak times. The only downside is that the prices are on the higher side, but the experience and quality make it worth it. Overall, a solid choice for a great meal and wine!

Dietary restrictions: I have allergies and they accommodated me with ease.

Parking: I had to park in the back because it was so packed. Minimal issues

I have been a regular since this Cooper's Hawk location opened. Kyle, Amanda, and Gio (now gone) always took care of me and my friends at the bar top. They are fast, friendly & always made our experience a good one. We LOVE drinking and dining with them.

Recently a new older female bartender has been taking care of us. To say that we are upset/disappointed is an understatement. To start, she was wrong about a drink we were trying to order (the cocktail I order EVERY single time I visit) and told me I could not order it. When I politely asked if she could double check she gave me attitude, spoke to me like I was a child saying "sureeee you can have whatever you want." The look on my face was something like "????" We attempted to put in our food order for about 20 minutes and she would walk away every single time. Every question we asked was met with attitude and sarcasm. We will no longer be sitting at the bar top, if we decide to come back.

If Kyle and Amanda are working I know we will have great customer service. We may find a new location to be regulars at as she has ruined our experience a handful of times now. Please speak to her about how she is treating customers, especially regulars.

We were at the Gurnee location for dinner tonight. Gabby (Gabriell) was our waitress and she was amazing! She greeted us quickly, gave great recommendations, and she smiled the whole time. We will be requesting her every time we dine there!

Hubby's birthday, just the two of us. Had reservations and promptly seated at a nice booth by very friendly hostess. She was kind and provided details about the establishment after her finding out we were first-time diners. Initial service was prompt, grey goose cosmo was excellent, nice house merlot. Received my bisque, waited for my husbands salad as to not start dinner without him. Salad came 10 minutes later with our calamari appetizer. So, bisque is no longer warm. Bisque was super yummy though, hubby's ceasar salad very good. Calamari was over-cooked. Hubby couldn't cut it in half with a knife. Didn't eat it. Meals came, jumbalaya was very good, per husband. My shrimp and scallop risoto was undercooked. The risoto was hard to chew. The manager came over apologized and took mine and the appetizer plate away. Assured us we would not be charged and offered another meal. I knew my husband wouldn't start to eat his meal until I received mine, so I declined. At my request, the manager returned to our table and confirmed the calamari was overcooked and the risoto was undercooked. He said he tasted both of the plates in the kitchen. He apologized again. I did order a second amazing gg cosmo and a creme brulee at this time. Might as well have my favorite desert while my husband eats his meal. The manager informed us the desert would be at no charge. 15 minutes later, no drink and no brulee. I could see the disappointment on my husbands face. Requested the server to just bring the bill and not the drink or brulee as my husbands meal was now cold. She was apologetic. The items were removed from the bill, as the manager said. We really wanted to like this restaurant. I can only hope the managers of this establishment use this review as a message that more training is needed. Front of house staff are great. It was unfortunate to leave hungry and disappointed from my husband's birthday dinner.

have only had bad experiences here! finally opened a membership with them since this location opened, but the few times i have been there have been awful. went tonight and only had 5 out or my 8 tastings and the server said since she had lost count, she would only serve me one more tasting. another visit, the server did not come back with my card and turns out he put my card in someone elses receipt and they had left already. another time, was told it was a two hour wait, but found an opening on their app. once i told them i had made a reservation, host said i will be the last one seated since “i just made the reservation online” and made me wait extra, after the reservation time. membership is not worth it if all their service is very poor!

We were greeted and introduced to waitress. The place was ok- not too full not too empty. We were shown a table but it was too loud so I asked the waitress to seat us at a quieter space closer to the window. Mind that we were told that we could seat anywhere. She simply refuse to find another table. Even when it was obvious that tables were opened and the place was about to close within the next two hours. Bianca was terrible, rude, and frankly disrespectful. Incredible contrast with Courtney. She was polite, service oriented, and prompt. Jim was ok but not as proactive as he could have been. We were seated at quieter space and we tried to enjoy the food. It was late and choices were limited at that time. This place has no identity other than being a tourist trap disguised as an innovative restaurant. The food was not interesting and more on the vanilla- beige spectrum of exciting food- bland. Needles to say that not even a free dinner would entice me to return.

I’m a server so I get all of it…. I really do. My husband and I took out our daughter for Valentine’s Day. I made the reservations a month ago. We arrive at the time of our reservation and we were told they were running about 15 minutes behind schedule which was not a big deal at all for us. We watch the whole lobby clear out before we are even acknowledged. They asked us what our name was again so they could find a table for us. We waited for about an hour past our reservation time. Our server was Meg and she was great! Got our drinks right away and we decided we wanted an appetizer because we were so hungry at this point. Meg informed us the kitchen was behind which we appreciated also. My steak was overcooked but I didn't say anything because I didn’t want to wait any longer to eat. We still love Coopershawk and go every year for our anniversary or Valentine’s Day but I was really disappointed this visit.

2nd time picking up and their pick up system doesn’t work. Sat in the lot for 15 minutes waiting for someone to come bring my order. I walked inside and it was dead… food was cold by the time I picked it up. Poorly managed customer service
