Oberweis Ice Cream and Dairy Store

Hi I was just there and we left without even ordering! We stood there for 7 minutes with a person standing in front of us ignoring us and other people were waiting and they helped them at the other register and when we said “sorry we were here before all of these people” the response was “ you should have came to this register” how hard is it to one help somebody and two to tell them hey I can help you over here! Never coming back here completely disrespectful!

First time here visiting from out of town good ice cream and good service

Great ice cream place. We ordered several different desserts and we were very pleased with the food quality and the customer service. Great place for desserts for the entire family and a great atmosphere.

This place is incredibly disappointing and over rated. In the event that you are undecided about where to satisfy your craving for ice cream, I would recommend visiting Cold Stone Creamery instead. You won't be wasting your time there. I personally ordered two scoops in a waffle bowl, but I could barely see any ice cream in it. It's honestly so minimal that I could easily replicate the same at home. Hey, when you order a bowl, you're thinking full-sized, not some miniature version! To make matters worse, the bathrooms were unacceptably filthy.

Oberweis has always been a local favorite of ours for years. There is always plenty of seating, and counters are maintained cleanly without any sticky ice cream residue. I always think their flavor specials (usually involve some sort of fruit in the name) have the best taste compared to the traditional flavors, which run on the heavily sweet side. We thought portion sizes were accurate. Only qualm is that it’s kind of a “blind order” shop where the ice cream is not behind a transparent counter for you to browse. Of course you can ask to try certain flavors, but you definitely can’t just browse by “what they look like” so you do have to rely on reading the menu. In my opinion the menu is a bit small to read in person and you do have to squint quite a bit. I’d recommend just pulling up the menu on your phone if you’re a bit visually challenged like me, though their FYI online menu only has their classic flavors listed :) Service is great and staff brought our order right to our table in a short amount of time.

Stopped in this afternoon, had never been before. Will most likely never go again. First off we waited way too long for two two scoop cones. Secondly the waffle cones seemed stale or soggy, kind of soft and chewy. Not what I expect from a waffle cone, a waffle cone should be light and flakey, crisp not chewy. As for the ice cream itself it was unremarkable. I've had better at a small town walk up in Michigan, now there's a place worth going back to.

The drive from WI is always super worth it!! Love this place! Must try!!

Oberweis Dairy has become a must-stop for us on the way back home from a weekend getaway. The place is clean, inviting, and their ice cream is absolutely top-notch. We especially love their wide variety of flavors and their chocolate shakes, both are consistently delicious and a treat to look forward to.

That said, the service leaves room for improvement. While most of the staff have been fine, I’ve had a couple of disappointing experiences with one individual in particular. I don’t know his name, but his sense of entitlement and lack of customer care really stood out in a negative way. Moments like this can tarnish an otherwise enjoyable visit, and I’d love to see the team prioritize a more welcoming and attentive approach across the board.

Despite this, the quality of the ice cream keeps us coming back. If they can match their service to the standard of their products, Oberweis would truly be exceptional

Look of an established franchise with the comfy feel of mom and pop shop. Make time to try the eggnog once it's in stock!

Went to Overweis today to share a banana split with my husband. I watched the girl make it. The banana’s literally black. She decided to use it anyway. The banana was obviously overripe, mushy and disgusting! Couldn’t even eat the banana split! While the girl was polite, the food was shockingly gross!
