Salutes is one of my family’s favorite restaurants in Lake County! We especially like their salad dressing!

Food was absolutely horrible The veal was like rubber and the fettuccine Alfredo sauce was like eating an old sock absolutely the worst meal I’ve ever eaten and unfortunately, was an early Mother’s Day meal from my son and granddaughter very very disappointing!!!

I have been in lots of Italian restaurant but this is one of the worst. The lasagna was very salty and what they changed for it was not worth it. I would not recommend this restaurant at all. Don't waste your money.

Our waitress (Debbie) was very unpleasant. When my mom asked if they had other salad dressings other than the house dressing our waitress had an attitude and acted as if the question was completely uncalled for. When asked what the dressing tasted like all she could say was “it’s Italian”. Then when my mom asked for a description of the soup of the day, all the waitress could say was that it had noddles and “it’s Italian”. No sh*t its Italian we are at an Italian restaurant. That is horrible customer service to not even be able to describe the items on the menu. Additionally we used a few gift cards and cash to pay for the meal. One of the gift cards expired…fine we gave $60 to replace the non-working $50 gift card. The waitress came back with the wrong change. When asked about it she then said we were wrong and avoided our table for 20 mins. We had to ask another server to get the manager/owner. After discussion the waitress admitted she never counted the cash we gave her and did in fact give incorrect change. How do you process a transaction without counting the money? Sure it was not a straight forward payment but counting the cash was probably the easiest thing about that task. Also avoiding the table almost makes it seem like it was intentional. The food is pretty good but they need to employ better staff and have proper customer service and conflict resolution training.

Customer of 30 years. What happened to this Italian restaurant?? Start off with being greeted by a grumpy waitress, oh whoa is me?
Ordered iced tea w lemon. Tasted like sewer water. Server said it’s not fresh brewed anymore, it’s a Coke product. Blah! I came for soup and salad. Server said they don’t do that anymore. Why not? You sell soup. You sell salad. Make a dinner combo. Nope, they used Covid as a weak excuse. $8 salad refills. No thank you. Minestrone not that good anymore.
We ordered a 14” sausage, green pepper, onion, mushroom. The sausage tasted like it sat uncovered in the frig for two weeks. The pizza sauce had no taste!!!
So three grown adults only eat part of a pizza, tell the server it wasn’t good, refused to take it home (I’ve never done that) and nobody said boo.
It’s clear as to why I’ve noticed their parking lot empty during dinner hours. Truly a sad state of change. $78 for a pizza, two salads and a bowl of soup. ?

I’ve been coming here for years. This was the worst time. My family and I arrive around 3:45pm and didn’t leave until 5:15pm. There were 3 of us. The restaurant wasn’t busy at all. We waited at least 10 -15 minutes for water alone. I ordered fettuccine Alfredo with broccoli (a lunch sized portion) my husband ordered an 8” thin crust pizza and my son ordered a children’s spaghetti. Plus an order of mozzarella sticks and one glass of wine. Our bill was $75.00. We waited forever for the entrees. My Alfredo had no broccoli in it. It tasted disgusting. The pasta was thick and firm. Overcooked? The alfredo was extremely grainy. This place used to be amazing. Even the famous salad dressing doesn’t taste as good as it used to. The restaurant needs to focus more on good food and well trained staff - all they seemed to care about was socializing amongst themselves.
