We always have a great experience at Steak and Shake. This store is located on the Gurnee Miles parking lot ( not in the mall). I've been eating at Strak n' Shake since about 1965. Love their fries, chili and burgers. I'm glad to see they have been able to survive and prosper. The staff at this location are always friendly, polite and helpful. Keep up the good work!

I placed an order online and it said it was ready for pickup but it wasn’t ready, i waited 30+ minutes for my food and one of the employees tried to say there was no order placed and then they finally said it was ready and my food was super cold as if it was sitting somewhere in the back.

The buns were not toasted on the double cheeseburger and cold. We asked for light ice in the coke zero that was not coke zero and they gave extra ice. Also the banana milkshake tastes artificial like a banana laffy taffy candy. Furthermore, the bathrooms were filthy and inside sticky floors.

If I could give it zero stars I would, placed a mobile order here just to wait for over an hour because they were busy. The food never got done, I was very patient and went up and asked what the issue was and they said they’ll get to it when they can (again, it had been over an hour) after that I just asked for a refund, I just wanted my money back so I could leave, the manger said because I used the app they couldn’t refund me and I’d have to take it up with steak and shake costumer service. Tried doing that and nobody EVER got back to me. Worst chain experience I’ve ever had.

Mangers don’t respond hangup on you put you on hold for 20 minutes and talk about you like your not there blond chick in the drive through needs to be checked every time i go here i never get my food they argue it’s my fault the mangers are no help this place needs to be shut down

Quick stop for our first visit. Only ordered fries and shake. Fries were great, thin and crisp. Shake was tasty but, I thought there was too much whipped cream. Great service.
