Will miss them when they're gone. Treated ourselves to a 4 course meal and enjoyed all of it. Sad this is our last meal there. Thanks for all the celebrations, sharing and wonderful meals.

We will miss this place so much. Their unique take on so many different dishes is one of the reasons we really enjoyed them. Wishing them all the best of luck, and thanking them for the many years of delicious food, wonderful service, and beautiful ambience.

Had an enjoyable evening introducing my friends to "chocolate food." So sorry to hear they are closing. They've been a go-to birthday luncheon for 8 years. They will be missed.

This was our first time at The Chocolate Sanctuary. It was all that we expected and more. We were there for the Sunday Buffet. Food was well prepared, fresh and plentiful. Our server, Griffith, did an outstanding job even though he was kept busy with a large number of diners. It saddens us that they will be closing at the end of the month.

Ugh. I wanted to like this place. It was our first time visiting, and we specified that in our reservation. We arrived early, and the hostess advised us that they are on a limited menu, due to some kitchen issues. No specifics were asked or given. The reviews were enough for me to accept the limited menu.We sat down and no one approached us. I watched waiter/waitresses pass us up with NO acknowledgement. Finally one of the waiters noticed us, and told the buser kid that he needs to pay attention to customers that walk in, in order to give us water and bread.Long story short....they were short staffed and the waiter we had couldn't handle multi tasking well. We were given two different stories on why service was bad.Needless to say we had to go to the bar ourselves to order more drinks, and our food was cold.I'm so bummed ?We still tipped well, but we will never return. Our bill was $170 with tip.We ended up leaving and decided to go to Steven's Steakhouse across the way from Six Flags Great America to finish off our evening with the BEST cocktails and service ever! Plus, their drinks were an actual martini size and $1.00 cheaper.

I've been to the Chocolate Sanctuary many times, and have never been disappointed. I'm now disappointed, however - that they're closing at the end of June! What a huge shock, and a dining void will definitely result. We had another great dinner last night, but it may be our last. Bummer!!!!!!!!

As usual, The Chocolate Sanctuary provides interesting dishes, many of which have some form of cacao or chocolate. The menu has a variety of offerings. We particularly like the Chocolate Old Fashioned. The staff is very attentive and knowledgeable.

Host staff was noticeably unhappy with our request to be seated at a different table than that which she was taking us to. Wait staff was not too knowledgeable about some menu items. Lunch special items were pretty small. All toilets broke during our visit and restaurant still continued to welcome guests.

We were told this was the place to be! We entered with such high expectations. Maybe that was our mistake. Upon entry we were informed they were extreemly short staffed. The menu would be limited and service would be shared. We started with several apps which were very good and 2 of us ordered drinks. I felt there were unhappy that the 2 others did not. My chocolate martini was nothing special. We then ordered entrees. Three of us ordered the salmon. Five minutes later we were told there was no more salmon. How can you have a limited menu and be out of an item at 6:30PM. This was disappointing to say the least. Our replacement meals were good but the damage had been done. Desert was the highlight. Donuts with self-filling syringes. Both delicious and fun. We may try again.

Everything was chocolate and everything was pleasant. Been there 3 times and the service is solid. Totally chocolate waisted right now.

Despite our excitement about the chocolate theme, we were uniformly disappointed by our meal. Our butternut squash flatbread was undercooked and unappealing (hard squash bits, uncarmelized brussel sprouts, doughy bread). And our chocolate cake was only average. The ganache was okay, but the cake itself was on the dry side. The highlight was the bread basket, which contained rolls with a soft chocolate center and chocolate butter, but overall we had hoped for more.

Great from start to finish. Food was awesome. Service - never did our water glasses get less than half full. We did the fix-prix menu so it was very reasonable. Got help w wine selection. It was delish.

As always, excellent! From being greeted at the door to wrapping up the check the service, food and interaction with the staff was wonderful. I always make it a point to stop by for at least one meal when I'm back in the area.

It was a very disappointing dining experience. The buffet was very poorly organized and located in a much too small area. We had no idea as to what lines led to what food, and people were constantly bumping into one another. The dining area was VERY cold and although we asked the servers to look into it, nothing was done. The service was shoddy at best, and the food was only mediocre. Will NOT go back - NOT RECOMMENDED!

A creative menu features delicious food, mist of which has some cacao or chocolate in the preparation. Warm rolls abs a knowledgeable staff greet the diners. The chocolate old-fashioned. cocktail is not be missed. We have had terrific salads and entrees from duck to steak, all delicious
