“Expectation level: It's a truck stop. The US 20 exit is the only stop between the city of Belvidere and Elgin (Randall Rd). Therefore its a frequent stop Pros: -This is one of the last stops before the burbs that the costs will be relatively low when compared to Cook County. Price per gallon can be anywhere between a 25 to 75 cent price difference -Convenient Subway inside, or McDonalds next door. Its strong in location and convenience access. 2 ATM's inside -Despite a lot of the negative posts about the rest rooms, they were vastly improved in mid 2017. Previous reviews were correct in nastiness in the past. I stop here for the restrooms a lot during my travels to and from Chicago and I find it comfortable Cons: -Is this place any better than most modern gas stations? Probably not. -Paid air compressor. I hate it when gas stations charge a buck for 3 minutes of air Bottom Line: -I can't speak for the truckers, but as a car commuter there isn't anything about this place that will "prevent" me from coming here on a westbound I-90 commute. If you want don't to stop here, no worries. Pick another gas station down the street or wait 17ish miles until the next exit :)“
