I thought I'd try Johnsons BBQ in Harrisburg today for the first time. What a mistake. Cost my 26 bucks for 18.09 worth of food. (Sent someone to get it). Got the Italian beef, it was 6 out of 10, polish sausage, 4 out of 10, fried okra 4 out of 10. The most disappointing item was the fried mushroom, paid 4.89 for literally 6 small fried mushrooms. They were over fried. We will not be going back that's for sure.

Best food in town! Just a small trailer with some picnic tables outside so it's typically a grab and go thing for us. Its location kinda makes it easy to forget about some times.
I stop here today and was the best pork burger I've ever had in my life highly recommend getting minimum 4 per person because they are extremely extremely good I live in Kentucky and I'm going back just for the burgers

This is not even a hole in the wall barbecue joint, but a pull-up get your food parked get out and eat in the areas they provide if you want to barbecue joint and I'm telling you now, you're going to be hard-pressed to find much better in the area. Every time I'm in Harrisburg, I stop and get a barbecue at Johnson's. Ask for the spicy, it won't let you on fire, but boy does it taste amazing. Highly recommended. Tell them the ice cream truck driver sent you.

Best brisket I've had all summer. Small trailer run by a single guy who makes it fresh to order. Small portions but reasonably priced. Ate at some picnic tables nearby. A true local spot, would definitely come back

First time there, got a Philly cheesesteak. The meat was flavorful and the onions and peppers were grilled perfectly, finished with melted cheese. Yum! Next time I’m getting the pulled pork. This might become my go to spot.
