“If you are ever looking for some of the BEST TACOS in the South Suburbs-Harvey to be EXACT.. you have to stop at Al Vapor Taqueria. These are the best Steak tacos...Everything is cooked fresh. The owner Lucia and her son Sebastian are so nice. You will not be disappointed. I wish I took a picture of the tacos..but Trust me they are FYEEEEEE! Another winner the have excellent salsas and fresh chips...and Cauliflower, carrots and peppers...LIKE I SAID..FYEEE!!!! TRY THEM OUT, thank me later.????”

“The food is pricey. Any meal will cost you almost $20. It used to make a difference what type of food you got per the price. Not anymore a steak burger is about the same price as a regular burger. I believe people raise prices more bc of the excuse product cost more. However the staff is very friendly and they actually listen to how you ordered your food.
Friendly service anywhere is a plus, bc it's becoming rarely experienced.”

“I was at SSC for my son's graduation ceremony and was hungry, I tried to go to a birriera place down the block but they were closed. So I found this place and it exceeded my expectations. I was hoping for just some decent tacos but they were better than decent. Only problem now is, I live in Indiana, 30 minutes from here...so I'm gonna have to take a lil drive for these tacos again 😆! Carne asada, pastor and lengua tacos on homemade and regular corn tortillas were all delicious. The asada had a bit of a sweet flavor to it, I assume they might use oranges as a marinade idk, they were good either way.”

“I do not regret coming here and trying out their Tacos Al Pastor and Tacos de Cabeza! The red onion mix was delicious and spicy, love it! I was happyto hear that they had natural and very healthy juices too! I tried the Cucumber juice, and was very refreshing!”

“Food and service were fantastic. We were thrilled to find this place open after 11PM. Our flight was late, and my coworker and I had to drive two hours before arriving at our hotel. Starving and desperate, we found this food joint about to close but they graciously let us eat inside, serving us the best food ever!

The staff didn't rush us or even hint at kicking us out like they do in NY or NJ. The food was absolutely delicious. I got the King Nachos, and my coworker got the fried catfish. Plus, two iced teas for a total of $36. A fair price for a meal that saved us from gnawing on the hotel’s pillows!

Now, the area is a bit sketchy. We, the only two people in business suits, definitely stood out like sore thumbs. Lol. After we finished, the staff politely closed up shop. Thanks again, folks, for the great service!

“the salmon is fresh and delicious but too much salt i usually like salt but the cook needs too go easy on the salt and the shrimp and grits had too much salt.”

“Have you ever been in a situation? Where you ask your significant other… “ what do you want to eat?” And they respond with “I don’t care just pick something.” Well that was the case with hotspot on Halsted. When I pulled up, I knew that it was a typical traditional food spot so I came in with the mindset of let me try something super traditional, so I looked at the menu and something peaked my interest, and it was the Mexican style hotdog, I wish I had a picture to show, but I devoured it so fast that I don’t think I had enough time to take it. It was so delicious My Wife ordered the burger and she enjoyed it thoroughly as for service. I do have to say it was better than I expected, and by My Wife being bilingual it made it super easy to order to get the service proper service. I definitely will stop by and grab the same thing I had before and maybe try something else but in my book”
