I Worked there a short time. Nothing but alcoholics running the place.. It use to be a really nice place. Now, there's Holes in the kitchen floors, mice everywhere, the Mens Bathroom door doesn't lock ( owner refuses to spend money) so there's signs on the door stating "knock before entering". Some of the food i was made to cook was spoiled or half spoiled, (waste not want not.) However, I didn't want to get in trouble for throwing stuff away or "disobeying". Horribly overpriced, nothing is consistent there including the prices. Its just a "wing it" everyday. Customers walk out cause staff are rude to them. Having ran restaurants before Customers want CONSISTENCY not nonsense. Its sad to see. The owner started off with good intentions. However, you can't be an alcoholic.... w, alcoholics working for you expecting to turn a profit. Young under age kitchen staff getting hi and drunk. I had to leave, to much drama not enough structure or pay for the headache. Plus I was paid to cook. Not babysitting the evening kitchen staff. The one ole boy is a GREAT worker with a good head on his shoulders. All in all, if you order any meat. Make sure its cooked thoroughly and anything with sauce or gravy along w, sides check for fly and small weevils as some of the package goods used have been sitting for some time. I wish the best to the owner and that the place gets turned around and repairs taken care of along with much better customer service.

We had dinner and drinks. In town for work and was told by several locals about the food. The service was excellent. Food was delicious. It came out quickly, and hot. Portion sizes are very generous. Great atmosphere. I highly recommend!

The owner is the chef/cook. Having had the catfish dinner while visiting Havana friends on my way to Seattle I thought it was the best I had ever had. Good enough that I went out of my way on my return trip to Florida to have it again. Good choice. It is indeed the best I have ever had and I'm 84 and have eaten a lot of catfish. So there you are. IMHO, the best catfish dinner in America.

I Was doing some dump trucking for my company and would drive by multiple times a day hauling dirt.Beings our company was coming from so far away 2 1/2 hrs; we worked through lunch.Every day I would watch the parking lot fill up around lunchtime.I don’t know what they were cooking from day to day but it always smelt great. I was finally able to get carry out one day and I was very impressed. Large portions and very tasty for sure! Everyone was nice, and a nice atmosphere inside. My only regret was I couldn’t go more often because they have a huge menu and I wanted to try other things.I will definitely be back if I ever get this way again!!
