Hazel’s Diner Tarot and High Tea April 2024 My daughter and I attended “Tarot and High Tea” at Hazel’s Diner and enjoyed THE BEST tasting food of any High Tea we’ve ever been to. All of the finger sandwiches are on their homemade breads. We especially enjoyed the roast beef, and the turkey. From the sweet things on the tea tower our mutual favorite was the lemon custard filled croissant. There were plenty of flavored tea selections for every palate. And what a fun addition to have a tarot card reading! We love High Tea and have been to: The Palm Court at both The Drake in Chicago and The Plaza in NYC, The Tea Room at Harrod’s in London, Tea at 1024 in Honolulu, HI, and High Tea at The Baker House in Lake Geneva. The tea tower of food at Hazel’s High Tea beats all of them with their fresh, homemade food. You can taste the love and care that goes into every morsel. We will be back again and again!

I heard about Hazel’s Diner from a Facebook page where someone was talking about where to get cinnamon rolls, and there were numerous recommendations for Hazel’s which intrigued my interest, we went there this morning for a late breakfast to get food that is scratch made and when I say food, I’m humongous plate, size pancakes, and incredible cinnamon roll French toast. The potatoes, sausage, bacon, and House made bread of many varieties are huge portions, there was not one bite that wasn’t delicious the entire feast we kept saying oh my God! The service staff is super friendly and attentive, even close quarters, which actually felt cozy. if you’re looking for real food made by hand, this is the place. When you want one of those breakfasts, you know is going to be full of buttery creamy and warm to your insides food. This is the place if you are counting calories you may not want to come here! But sometimes you just need to put that aside and enjoy every bite as we did today.

Beware of the pancakes. They're big enough to eat you. Great food and nice atmosphere. Waite staff is fun and as sweet as the huge cinnamon rolls.

We had a delicious brunch with various hash, waffles, and omelets. There is good tea selection in addition to coffee. Make sure to get the bread or English muffin they make.

I went in there today for breakfast and received the worst experience ever!Ordered Steak and Eggs and want wanted it cooked medium well, instead I received uncooked and bloody steak twice!I got disappointed and asked the waitress to just take it away, she said I will have them make a new plate for you, I replied okay but really saw that this place needs a new cook for sure but was polite enough to say okay. They brought the same steak back that was still red and uncooked!Once a steak is cooked and recooked it looses the juicy tenderness and dries out like a left over meal. When I was served the second time with the dried out and still uncooked steak, I had no silver wear to eat it with.I looked for the waitress and visualizing her touching her nose in the dinning room area! Fact!I asked the bus boy for silverware instead but as I turned the plate around I noticed it was the same steak that they took away and did not make a new one Medium Well as ordered twice.I have eaten at so many restaurants and know what’s right and what’s wrong!Touching your face, nose in public as you serve patrons is wrong and disgusting!Cooking it wrong twice is sad!I asked who is the cook she said the owners son!I have nothing personal against him or anyone , but for god sake this was a huge disappointment and a waste of my morning to say the least!I am attaching photos of the uncooked steak.

Food was delicious, had the cinnamon explosion pancakes. Even the “short stack” pancakes were as big as my head! Easy location to get to, lots of parking. Highly recommend!

We absolutely love stopping here on our way home from Lake Geneva. New tradition. I have a special place in my heart for the cinnamon rolls ("boy" = with nuts). Everything here is homemade with love and it shows. The service is also phenomenal and they go above and beyond to keep you fat and happy. Another cool side note: they make gorgeous wedding cakes!

My coworker told me about this place and I figured I check it out since it's our wedding anniversary coming up. This place is amazing, service is great and staff and guests are super friendly. We love it.

My first time but definitely not my last! Valentine's Special was 2 eggs, bacon or sausage and cinnamon roll French toast. Wow. Highly recommend the bacon - thick cut and flavorful. Thought 1 slice of cinnamon roll French toast wasn't going to be enough lol. So rich I couldn't finish it.Friend had the blueberry pancakes with lemon curd. 2 huge pancakes served on a turkey platter. Excellent! Pancakes light and fluffy, not too sweet. Lemon curd out of this world...Sausage and biscuits very good, big chunks of sausage and huge biscuit.Best coffee I've had in years. Free refills. As if the food wasn't enough to make me want to return, the waitresses were wonderful - explained the menu sizing, made recommendations, kept the coffee coming, and were so personable.Parking: No parking lot, free street parking
