We hosted 2, back to back, events with Deb Mindham of Hazels/Tarts and Truffles and she was amazing to work with! We booked with her a year before the wedding weekend from the East Coast and she spent much time with us on numerous phone calls, planning the events. The buffet dinner was delicious with an abundance of food. The appetizer/dessert spread for our additional event was fabulous! Her team of servers were very professional and serviced both of our events in an incredibly attentive way. Our events were perfectly taken care of. Highly recommend

We used Tarts & Truffles for our small wedding cake and cupcakes for our guests. We absolutely love Hazel's food, but ended up disappointed with our overall experience with the bakery side of things. We were able to have a couple of tastings in order to try multiple flavors, which we were very gracious for. The taste and moist levels varied each time we tried a flavor, including on our wedding day. The communication was difficult and left me stressed. There were times I had to reach out multiple times in order to get a response, leaving me very frustrated. Our cake looked very nice, but tasted a bit dry. The cupcakes we had for our guests were baked in cups, making it difficult for them to eat. Had we known this was the case, we would have been able to provide spoons for our guests. I would not recommend choosing Tarts & Truffles for your wedding due to the lack of consistency of the baked goods, communication, and difficulty eating the cupcakes.

If I could give a rating higher than five stars, I so would!!! Celebrated my 50th birthday last Sunday and had catered food brought in from Tarts and Truffles (Hazel's Diner) to our private party aboard Polaris Sunset Cruise Gage boat tour. The food was absolutely scrumptious and just perfect! We chose the Slider buffet, tortellini pasta salad, fresh tossed green salad, fresh fruit, kettle chips and cookie dessert bars. The four different sliders offered were each out of this world delicious!!! Especially with the homemade rolls like my mom used to make!! The dressings and condiments were also bang on!!! The kids and adults alike devoured the chocolate chip bar squares that were thicker than any I'd seen!!

I ordered my daughter 1 year old party... I ordered my daughter 1 year old party smash cake through this place. I was soooo disappointed. I was returning customer as they had done my wedding cake and a beautiful princess castle cake for my niece. All I wanted was an oversized cupcake smash cake for my daughter. When I got it, it didn't even look like a cupcake. I was disappointed immediately. I didn't say anything b/c I thought maybe I wasn't specific enough in my description on the phone. Well, I picked this cake up the evening before the party. I live about 15 or so minutes from this place. By the time I got home, the fondont on the cake had melted and it was toppled over. I called in a panic ans was told the owner would call me back. She never did. I had get a cheap cake cake from Jewel so she would have something! I finally get a hold of the owner the following monday and asked for a refund. (it was only $22!) She said no, since I picked it up and they did not deliver it, then it was not in their "policy" to refund. She said if I would have brought it make maybe they could have repaired it. First of all I CALLED! no response. Second, I did not have time the day of the party to run to Woodstock to get it repaired, even if she did offer that service! I am so disappointed and will NEVER go back nor will I reccommend this place to anyone ever again. Like a previous post said, they don't care about small orders, which explains why my larger cakes were wonderful, but my smaller order was a complete disaster and disregarded!

I ordered my son's first birthday cake from Tarts and Truffles and have never experienced such horrible service in my life! When I arrived to pick up the cake, the icing was a completly different color than we had disscussed over the phone. When I asked what happened, the owner brushed me off and told me it was only a $25 cake and she had much bigger orders to fill. When I told her how disappointed I was, she looked at me and said "Really? It's a one year old's birthday party." I could not believe she said that!!! Eveyone I've told has been horrified by her response. There was no offer to fix their mistake either! If you aren't placing a big expensive wedding order with this place, don't bother.

I would love to love this place- if they were ever open! I'm so confused- sign says open, sign says serving lunch 10-3 and it's 1, door is unlocked-THREE TIMES I've walked into this place- and it looks like it's either being remodeled or packed away- and a couple confused people sitting around chatting ask if they can help me. Yah you can help me, get some truffles in mah bellay! Then they tell me they are 'closed', or the tea room is 'closed'. Tea room?! What do I look like, a proper lady?! Anyway, I'm so dissapointed, I had heard good things about this place in the past, but I guess it's all memories now..RIP Tarts and Truffles??
