We have driven by Mary’s Restaurant so many times and assumed it was a just lovely historic private home. We ordered the wagyu strip, it was best steak we’ve ever had (and we have tried Wagyu other places). We also ordered Beef tenderloin with cognac cream sauce, the seafood bisque, old fashion’s, seasonal pumpkin swirl cheese cake…Everything was fantastic and cooked perfectly. So happy with the experience. Would recommend for a romantic dinner, and would leave the kids...
Mary’s in Herrin has become a go-to spot for my family and I over the years, especially for special occasions, and it never disappoints. We recently chose it for a much-needed dinner date night, and it turned into a truly memorable evening. The food is consistently delicious, and the atmosphere adds to the experience, making every visit feel special. Whether it's a celebration or a quiet dinner, Mary’s always delivers in both taste and service. We can’t recommend it...
It’s just amazing. They’re so kind. The food is perfect. It’s very quaint. Absolutely tremendous service. I feel they are under priced for what they get. Of course we are in the southern Illinois. But this is absolutely tremendous and I have started and owned multiple restaurants. I am a pretty significant critic., nothing but the best here
