Abigail's American Bistro

This restaurant is best known in the suburbs. Exciting menu, their sea bass is a must-try, with an inticing taste. You must make a reservation, as it can be extremely crowded most of the time. It's worth it and the staff are friendly.

This is a small cute restaurant where the food and service are so good, it gets crowded, so reservations are recommended. The food is American Bistro, and it is perfect for a fancy date or celebration of 4 people or less if some chatter noise doesn't bother you. I'll always go back, and I like their blue cheese hamburger.

First time back in many years. Interesting menu. Shrimp toast, cauliflower, tuna tartar and ribs were outstanding. Kale salad a light addition. The garden thyme non alcohol drink is one of best in that category I have ever had. I’ll be back!

It’s a great place with super friendly staff and an excellent selection of seafood. I had the NY steak, which was fantastic, and the lentil soup was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended!

Walked-in on a Saturday night, we got a table right away. Our waiter was great, friendly and knowledgeable. Everything was tasty and fresh, the scallops were divine.

I've been wanting to try Abigail's for a while now based on the great reviews, and finally made it there last night. We sat outside, as it was a beautiful evening, and while I appreciated the outdoor seating, it's right across from the metro station, so loud trains occasionally interrupted our conversation. Not something that would keep me from returning, but just something to know.

The service was wonderful. Our server was kind and present and on top of things.

As for the food, it was a mixed bag. They bring some complimentary cheese rolls to the table shortly after ordering, which was a nice treat. We started with the mixed green salad which was fine. Apples, blue cheese, etc... good stuff, but the salad wasn't anything special. I wouldn't order it again. For the main course, I had the burger, which I thought was quite good. The accompanying fries weren't great, though. Others at our table had the branzino and the mussels and weren't impressed.

Had a great dinner here before our concert at Ravinia. Our server, Tobyn, was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. We had the Roasted Beets with goat cheese fritters, the Rigatoni, and the Eggplant Flatbread. It was all delicious!! And what a fun winelist.
