Coffee okay. Bennison’s pastries pretty good, but rarely available at opening. Has all the atmosphere of a converted DMV testing room but with worse lighting (fluorescent!!) and wallpaper that may have been purchased in 1955 at a going out of business sale of Wallpaper to Make you Gag Store reflecting the $75 cost of decoration

Beans Roasted in house! Why go anywhere else.

Note: For the espresso heads, they use a light to medium roast for their espresso! Good news for the few in the know.

Vibes are lacking here... Nothing special about the coffee. A little bitter, especially for a vanilla latte. Bathroom could really use an update.

the croissants were alright. the coffee was great! Loved the chill vibe this place gave. came here after visiting the botanic garden. its a close drive.

We enjoyed the food, service, space and coffee. Everything above I would have rated all the stars.

However the bathroom was very dirty, dusty and unkept at 9:30am, you could tell it was not cleaned from the days before.

The cutest coffee shop and their coffee is always perfect. I have yet to try one that wasn't fantastic. They roast their own beans which is a huge plus because I can take them home with me. It's also dog friendly ❤️

Nice place with a good offering of drinks and food. Good sit down spot.

Had a tea at this place, I did. It was surely a very nice place to have something warm especially amidst the below freezing temperatures. This is also located within walking distance from a Metra station, which is very nice.

Moreover, the staff is very nice too!

If first impressions mean anything, then I’m probably not returning. Looking for a place to enjoy a latte and hang for a while, we chose Astra. However, when we arrived about what should have been an hour and ten minutes before close, all the chairs had been pulled and the windows were being washed. Then, we learned they were closing at 2:30. But, I have to say that this isn’t a place where you could grab a cozy spot and hang with your latte. The bakery cabinet was tiny with very little variety and its presentation left much to be desired. The young man washing the windows did suggest a place down the street but that was closed too.

Wow! This place is nice. Feels like a coffee shop you'd see in a movie. Nice staff, atmosphere is great. The coffee is superb. Better than Starbucks

These guys are pros. Amazing Chai Latte.
