Galpal and I shared artichoke fritters with a lemon sauce, tomato, mozzarella and basil salad, and blue cheese crusted burger. Every bite was excellent. Service was great. We went for an early-ish dinner. Never rushed.

Neighborhood gem, owners work there daily, all staff are wonderful. Their BBQ is top-notch, and their barbecued shrimp brings me back to New Orleans. they always come a special treat for a birthday dessert. The only issue is the noise- it's always very loud but I'm not sure there's much they can do about it. It won't, however, determine from dining there in the future.

Bluegrass is one of my faves. The food, service, parking-everything is wonderful. The owners, Joanie and Jim, are thoughtful. So all in all, it's a great place to dine.

Bluegrass Restaurant is a wonderful, family-owned restaurant. We have been ordering takeout and eating in since we came to Highland Park three years ago. The owners take pride in managing the restaurant on a daily basis. They prioritize customer service, great food, and a warm, welcoming experience. Last night, they hosted the Highland Park/Highwood Professional Moms group. We had only expected 15 women to attend, but 25 women ended up coming. The owners and the staff were AMAZING. They brought over additional chairs. They provided us with top-notch service, including separate checks. They respected us when we were speaking to the group and quietly took orders in the background. I can't say enough nice things about this restaurant.

Just terrible! Extremely noisy hot and over crowded seating! Food was un appetizing and un appealing. I sent my meal back twice they didn't understand the word well done! Cheap cuts of seafood and meat. I would never go back or recommend this place!

Dining at Bluegrass is always a wonderful experience. The food is always fabulous, the menu changes seasonally, and the service is always on the spot, but never hovering. The owners are wonderfully gracious and accommodating. We are a group that dines weekly on Sundays, but we make an exception to dine on Saturdays when we can just to go to Bluegrass. I cannot say enough about this place.

Once again, our evening was just amazing. We had brought our best friends who have never been to Bluegrass there for dinner for the first time. Both were so amazed at restaurant and the five star quality food that was served. They told me that any time we go, they wish to come with. Now mind you we live in Arlington Heights and they live in Lake Zurich. So you KNOW the food is excellent for us to travel there and have our friends come with. Once again, thank you Joanie! We always enjoy great food an excellent service at Bluegrass! The Tuesday night smoked chicken and/or ribs special is out of this world delicious. Comes with corn pudding and seasoned potato wedges. Delicious! This is very popular and runs out early, so recommend you order ahead when making your reservation. Another favorite dish is the orange chicken, served with rice. The jambalaya, gumbo and skirt steak sandwich were also delicious. Make sure to get an order of fries for the table - you'll not be disappointed. Luanne, our server was a delight - very friendly, efficient and attentive. Bluegrass is always a wonderful experience, and they have some lovely outdoor seating. Try it, you'll enjoy it!
