Sharp piece of metal in my falafel cut my mouth. I just got food from there. The container was not closed and spilled in my bag. I ate a single piece of falafel. Felt something cut my gum a little that was hard to chew and when I took the piece of falafel out my mouth, I found metal.

What a great lunch after a trip to the Botanic Garden! The double brisket burger was everything a previous review raved about. The mango habanero wings and sweet potato fries were also delightful. We sat outside to eat. Not sure where you would go on less nice days. This is a carry out place with self order on the Ipad.

Counter girl was nice. Ice cream was runny. Out of some toppings and Heath bits were stale. Nice place to sit outside and eat/drink ice cream

I order the boarder bowl, definitely not what it used to be. It was missing ingredients from what is in the description. There wasn't any black beans, rice, or dressing that it used to come with. It was just a bowl of lettuce with a few pieces of chicken and some corn. Also the portions are much smaller than they used to be. It's disappointing to see the quality going down.

This place is really pretty special. It’s been such a great addition to the Ravinia and HP area. The food is always great and the atmosphere is just super chill and unique. Where else in HP can you sit outside eating burgers with your buds on a warm summer evening while the family at the table next to you is singing a song about a magical unicorn? Chef Bryan(I hope I spelled his name right) is a super cool dude and works magic on that grill. Really couldn’t ask for a better place if you just want a relaxed dinner and evening.

We are from NW Indiana and were in the area and hungry so we tried this spot. The carne asada fries are literally to DIE for and the pulled pork sandwich was awesome. We ordered online and when we got there they were closing. They had run out of the cole slaw that normally goes on the pork sandwiches so he gave us drinks for free. He recommended the tacos next time and we were on our way. We came out again a month or so later JUST for the food. This time the experience was odd...we didn't see the tacos online so we figured we'd just order when we got there. There was something going on (police presence) so they told us we had to order our food in the bar. Way different customer service experience. (almost seemed annoyed we were there to order just food and not sit at the bar) I ordered the taco dinner and assumed a DINNER meant I'd get rice and beans. Nope. Just 3 tacos. $15. Noted to self that I'd just get the carne asada fries next time...if there could be a next time! They have been out of the carne asada fries (and a bunch of other menu items for that matter) according to their online menu for a long time. Everytime we try to call (because its over an hour long drive for us) to confirm, no one answers. Oh well. Guess it was good while it lasted. Shame.

Frustrating, with bad food and worse service !!!! Placed $56 order yesterday incl $5 tip since it was a curbside order. They would not, & will not, answer phone so placed order online. After waiting for curbside, nobody came with food. So my 90 yo mother decided to go inside so she could see the place. After calling for assistance and no staff in sight or responding, she retrieved the food from the case. The sweet potato fries were cold, hot dogs lukewarm, the falafel were hard as rocks and dry, and my smashburger was nothing like picture. There was no “smash” or flatness, no crust, meat was thick and gray. No char or grill AT ALL. Plus, we didn’t get our drinks. We came from 18 miles away to try this place, and now they won’t even answer the phone so I have to leave this review. AWFUL EXPERIENCE, TERRIBLE FOOD.

Their brisket smash burger is outstanding. The fries are plentiful and fresh cut. Tummy milk shakes. It’s a take out joint. If the weather is nice you can walk up the block over the metra tracks to a cute little park with picnic benches.

BWB Shakes is a hidden gem in Ravinia. I recently tried their sweet potato fries with white queso sauce, and it was an absolute game-changer. The fries were perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and the queso was creamy and flavorful. It was the perfect combination of savory and indulgent.
While I haven't had a chance to try their tacos yet, they look incredibly tempting and I can't wait to give them a shot soon. The overall atmosphere of the place is casual and inviting, making it a great spot for a quick bite or a leisurely meal with friends. I highly recommend BWB Shakes to anyone looking for delicious, high-quality food in Ravinia, Highland Park.
