This was the first time we have been to this restaurant. We enjoyed our food. The service was good but not great. The food was quite good. I had a coupon, but they don't accept them on the weekends.

Yes, it's a Jewish-owned Mexican restaurant that is observant.
It is our favorite Mexican restaurant on the North Shore. Still can't believe they close on Fridays for Shabbat though in this day and age, missing the most lucrative 24 business hours of the week. Also no shellfish foods like shrimp, available. Highly recommended though and always our first choice for Mexican.

Claiming to serve hanger steak when it is clearly an over tenderized piece of inferior meat (most likely sirloin) is a con. One that too many restaurants get away with.

I was recommended this place by a dear friend. I love Mexican food but it’s hard finally a spot that makes authentic and delicious plates.
So happy I stopped by for lunch because I had no complaints!
The chips were warm and DVD salsa was amazing.
I order two tortas and both were so flavorful. I got the carne asada and the lengua… perfectly cooked!

My review is based on my most recent meal. I haven't been here for a year but I remember it being much better. The service was friendly but quite slow. The tortilla chips did not seem fresh and the salsa tasted like mass market grocery store variety. I ordered salmon tacos with mole, that being my favorite accoutrement. I've had mole in both Puebla and Oaxaca, so my standards are high. This mole was a sparse serving, hardly enough for 1 taco, let alone 3, with a bit of heat but lacking in the other rich flavors of mole. The remainder of the taco ingredients were 3-star just like the rest of my meal. I do like the outdoor seating, so maybe I'll come back and order something else.

Food is very good. I cannot emphasize that enough. Prices are reasonable. However, the service is atrocious and they need to attend better to their customers. But only five tables present, we were left alone for almost 30 minutes. Eventually, we flagged someone down, to take her order. They said, well I will have to find someone to take your order because I am not doing it. This was literally the server for the next table. Another 10 minutes past and we finally find someone to take her order, but with attitude.The food was good and the enchiladas were very tasty. However, the servers will make her break a restaurant. As a final slap in the face, they have a suggested gratuity of 25% on every bill. You gotta be kidding me.
