We went to Madame ZuZu’s in the winter of 2023 after catching Home Alone at the theater on the next street over. My daughter and I are both huge Smashing Pumpkins fans (we’ve seen them twice in concert) so the movie seemed like a great excuse to get us to Madame ZuZu’s. Our drinks were all really good…I wanna say we got hot chocolates and the staff were really friendly. There’s plenty of really cool store and band merchandise to check out as well. Definitely a place worth visiting more than once!!

What a great place for lunch!
I needed to find a healthy, yet quiet place for lunch and this was perfect.
I have been here in the evenings for jazz and comedy nights but this was a left field choice for me!
The food was simple and not processed which is what I was looking for.
My tomato soup was delicious!!

The service here is slow! Took over 15 minutes to even get started on our tea and coffee. The decor/layout/overall atmosphere feels like you’re in your grandparents’ basement and they’re in the process of remodeling/moving. Drinks were okay.

The owners wife made me turn on airplane mode while I was in their establishment.

Also, delaying a product on the day it's supposed to ship is pretty bad. It's been 25 years what's another few weeks right? Didn't Billiam just say the box sets were in the building? Smh

It is unbelievable how rude the owners are. This isn't about the workers or the food. They're both fantastic.

For context: I've been a regular at Madame Zuzu's for close to four years. It's hard to find good vegan food and I enjoyed that it was a place I could rely on. The workers there will likely know me as the person who always comes in for the cake slices from Pie, Pie, My Darling.

But I will not use my money to support a business owned by people who so clearly want nothing to do with the people that they're serving, even during events they put on. Billy and Chloe: you are not better than anyone else. Perhaps you need reminding.

I won't be back.

The worst Chai latte I've ever had. No flavor whatsoever. Not sure if the person didn't know how to make it not - would not return. Disappointed

The comedy night on friday sucked, they weren’t funny at all. Baristas are great though it’s just unfortunate that we had to pay for an unfunny comedy show.

The comedy show was offensive and gross. I expected much higher of this place, especially considering how great the staff is. Anti-LGBT jokes and creepy stuff about bill cosby is not what i wanted for my Friday night out.

Madame Zuzu's has kind staff and great food. Whenever I'm in town, I love going to Madame Zuzu's events which is why I was excited to go see comedy night. It was awful. Comedians were laughing at their own jokes. The humor was really crude and not in a funny way. I don't really understand the concept they're trying for here, but something should definitely change

Only been here once. Food was great, staff was a bit cold and snobby. Most of their meat substitutes are Impossible brand, which is Plant Based but not technically vegan. Updated from previous review on 2025-07-27

Amazing food and atmosphere! Of course, the tea is great too!

Great tea and pastries. The breakfast sandwich is ok but the potatoes are great with it.
There’s teas and fun items to shop around with. There’s a live band on Sundays and lots of space for groups
