Great pizza! Friendly staff! Very urban ambiance. *mental transporta to NY* during the first bite!

I know it's not the typical pizza and many don't love this NY style slice but honestly it has always been one of my all time favorites. Their pasta pizza has hooked me for life and I eat it almost everytime I come back home. They have HUGE slices for a really good prices. I would definitely check it out and give it a go.

Ordered a grandmas pizza and when I got home after picking it up the dough was raw and goey. Supper greasy and no crust whatsoever it’s just like a half cooked pizza. Also ordered the garlic bread. Pretty gross. Tastes artificial and absolutely no garlic flavor. Can’t recommend this place at all definetely not a quality New York pizzeria.

Do not order from here. We have had numerous frustrating issues, including pizza and salad left on our porch with no notification, and an order cancelled because they were out of lettuce and could not make our salad. While the pizza is solid when you can get it, the customer service is all but non-existent (e.g., interacting with the frustrating and minimally-helpful Slice app, a business phone number that just rings through to a harsh fax line busy signal). We will never order from here again and encourage you to not waste your time.

NY Slice makes delicious thin crust pie! I ordered online for pick up and the food was ready right when I arrived. The pizza is just what you imagine when craving NY style 'za - thin, foldable slices fit for even the hungriest of Ninja Turtles! I also liked their home made balsamic dressing on the side salads. The french fries were crisp too! I made sure to order extra pizza so we had left overs - still great on day 2! I'd definitely recommend this Highland Park staple!

Y'all really need to hire better staff or something, because wow... Lol. My boyfriend and I went here to get a couple of slices of pizza, and the cashier was clearly high. He seemed super out of it and barely warmed up our pizza. Also, while we were there, two people came in to pick up their online orders and they were both told that there was no record of their order when they clearly had their receipts. Not sure why there wasn't a manager around or something. So unprofessional. It's too bad because this place used to be really good.

Pizza is fantastic. Big foldable cheesy slices. As a former New York resident, I can say that this is the real deal.

Ordered last night online for pickup. Was told pickup would be ready in 30 - 40 minutes. Showed up and was told that my pizza was overlooked and would be ready in 20 minutes. The order was wrong but we took it anyway. Pizza was cold and tasted like it had been reheated. Not very happy and will not be going back.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. I'm 59 and it's the worst pizza I've ever eaten and my wife agrees. I don't know how they stay in business or why anyone would chose to go there more than once. The pizza doesn't even taste like pizza. It tastes like cardboard. It's dry, no herbs or spices, you would need a magnifying glass to find any sauce and the cheese tastes like it came out if a can. I've only written a handful of bad restaurant reviews and this is one that needed to be written.

Do NOT order from their website!! In fact, despite the delicious pizza I would definitely avoid this place altogether. I placed an order, received confirmation (email and text), my credit card was charged, and told my order was ready. I got there and was told there was no record of my order. I showed them my confirmation and they still said nothing. Ok fine, things happen, but I was offered absolutely no empathy or effort to remedy this is any way. I asked if I could still get my pizza and I was told “well we’re busy and it would take at least 30 minutes” and then was told I’d have to pay in full again. My family is from New York and we miss our pizza, so I drove 25 minutes to get something similar to home. Now I have to drive home with nothing and call my credit card company to dispute the charge. Yeah, good pizza but horrible customer service and effort. Don’t waste your time.

It is true New York style pizza. Of course not the same as if I’m NY, but it gets the job done. If you’re a garlic dan, thee spinach and garlic is very good; pepperoni was okay. We had a takeout order, quoted 30 minutes and it was warm and ready upon arrival - easy as can be.

I’ve been ordering from this place for the last 4 years and always had a good experience until tonight. The girl who answered the phone was totally not in the working condition, had to repeat order three times. She said they ran out of ham at 4 pm, thats weird. When we finalized order she just hang up not giving time frame when to expect. Called them an hour later and the guy said that driver is leaving right now. 40 min later called them back and he told me that he will check the refrigerator (have no idea why would he check refrigerator). Got back to me and told that driver is going back to the store and will pick up my pizza for delivery as he did not do that before and will be another 45-55 min. I understand that is shortage of workers and people have to be patient but 3 hours for pizza delivery i think its too much. I canceled the order and they lost me as a customer.

Great pizza. This satisfied a craving for one kind of pizza not terribly common in this area. Crispier crust, great sauce, especially good hot. Only issue: too much naked crust. Get dude and cheese near the edge? A satisfying slice of zah!

How the heck does this place have a 3-star rating? This is my go-to pizza place here, and it's the closest thing I can get to good NYC-style on the Northside.

We had a miserable and unprofessional experience at NY Slices in downtown Highland Park.
